Ghost Rolls-Royce Ghost

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is a full-sized luxury car manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The "Ghost" nameplate, is named in honour of the Silver Ghost, a car first produced in 1906. The production model was officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Ghost Extended Wheelbase was introduced in 2011. During development, the Ghost was known as the "RR04". It was designed as a smaller, "more measured, more realistic car" than the Phantom, aiming for a lower price category for Rolls-Royce models.
Oh, how I hate that "Adidas fashion" ... C'mon Sportswear fits in a gym not in a RR. :t-banghea:t-banghea:t-banghea:t-banghea

I really hate seeing people in Sportswear outside the gym or other sports / recreational area.

It's so ... not right. :t-hands:

Very trashy IMO.

If I'm not working or in a church setting (Wedding, Funeral or Sunday Service), I am in sport clothing. Seeing someone in a Suit and tie all the time disturbs me. If your going to the movies, sporting event or shopping at the mall you should wear what ever the hell you want (As long as it's clean of course).

Now I do believe it's in bad taste to come out of a Rolls-Royce with a undershirt on with Ketchup stains...Now I have seen that. Now that is trashy.

In all honesty, I truly hate this kind of uptight attitude. I never knew that there was a dress code required to drive a car? In all honesty, I would be the type of guy who steps out of a RR in a tank-top, shorts and flip-flops. It's a car, get over it. If he has enough money to buy one, he take a sh!t in it for all that matters, so wearing an adidas warm-up is not a big deal. His car, his wardrobe, what's the problem? :t-hands:

LLS...I know thats right!

It's all about respect.

Respect to the heritage & image the brand carries. Or any other thing not just the car / brand in that matter. Or even more: for other people.

It's just disrespectful to ignore all of that.

Screw the heritage, it's car. All that image and prestigious crap is for those with an elitist concept. People can pray to their cars all they like, but at the end of the day it's a car. It's nothing more than a carriage with an engine to get your from place a to place b.

To be honest, I'm one of the worst people when it comes to breaking dogma. When someone tells me something cannot be done, and I think it's a ludicrous to think in such a way, I will prove them wrong. So, telling me to respect the heritage of a car that I paid for by changing myself is a No-no. I hate when people tell me what I can do with the things I paid for. :usa7uh:

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you wear or look like because if you truly have class it will shine through.

So...jumping out of a Scuderia with a racerback tank top and capri sweats is a no-go?

Or should that be accompanied with some 130mm Louboutins and a Judith Leiber clutch?

At the end of the day, a person should dress the way they want to when they are in their car (keywords). Still impressionable yet always presentable.

*Conclusion: You can never go wrong wearing jeans.*

As said: today people are all about "me, me, me" ... Of course you can, but should you?

Eni, can you stop with this for the love of God????????

Go talk about this nonsense in the Curb Zone or something. Not only do I completely and utterly disagree with you, but it's so off topic it's not even funny anymore. A full page of dresscodes and 'respect'? C'mon!
We want to read what you know about the cars from the BMW group!

Give me a drophead and ile drive it in my hawaii shorts without a shirt..
who gives a **** about clothes..
The car is meant to be enjoyed by you..and not to be a burden..

OK, I'll stop.

Just to show you I respect all of you ... Although not your opinions per se.

:t-cheers:

But I'm still utterly disappointed how ego-driven this world has become. It's all about "me, me, me, me" ... I can do everything I wan't. I can live my dreams. Without any limits.

Great world. Dancing till the bitter end. Can somebody do it, please.

Roger, and out.

Btw, I opened a special thread http://www.germancarforum.com/pit-g...vs-car-owners-thier-dresscode.html#post380691

So can somebody move posts from #66 till the last one to that new thread, please.

RR did a good job at make the two similar yet different.

If it's a Rolls-Royce, than it must be fabulous! This thing is simply out of the world! :usa7uh:

Thanks HoH! The Ghost looks fantastic in the pic. Seeing HUD in a Rolls still makes me lol :D The car is freaking high tech with all the state of art hardware that's in it! RR did a good job making it look like a baby Phantom and not like a modified 7er. The only thing that looks 7er-ish is the A-pillar.

The grill on the Phantom is so much more prettier, and the front-end does have a less busy and clumsy appearance. Thanks to the lack off round shapes, it will certainly age much better than the Ghost

Front of the phantom is definitely more "Get the f outta the way" than the Ghost.

Well at least they didn't call it the Rolls-Royce Swine. The Ghost is a good name for this RR. I'm sure the numbers will be great....

I hope they price it from $250k-$300k...above that would be two much. Should be more Bentley Flying Spur priced then the Arnage.

I wish to see the car in a dark colour sans a painted hood. The thick silver bezel around the grill makes front-end appear a bit too snouty and clumsy. They should have opted for a slightly larger grill without excess real estate around it.

Rolls-Royce Ghost Production Version Spied with Less Coverings

Rolls-Royce's 2010 Ghost has once again been spied undergoing testing ahead of its official unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Looking virtually identical to the 200EX concept that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show, this particular test mule is sporting less camouflage which allows us to see the production front end, door handles and rear taillights.

While it many look a Phantom, the Rolls-Royce Ghost actually has more in common with BMW's 750Li. The Ghost features an all-new 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 400 kW (544 hp) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, as well as its eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Despite being Roll-Royce's entry level model, the Ghost comes in at massive 5399mm (212.6 inches) in length, 3295mm (129.7 inches) in wheelbase, 1948mm (76.7 inches) in width, and 1550mm (61 inches) in height.

Scheduled to go into production by the end of the year, the Ghost is expected to carry a base price of around £180,000 (US$257,000).
