Mercedes Vision Iconic

Although exaggerated, there are key details that the Maybach Vision 6 presented that gave clues to the W223 S-Class.
The windsheild is swept back in a modern fashion.
The creases in the hoodline are virtually the same.
The grill shapes are virtually identical.
The eyebrow leds with the 3 central leds strips in the headlights gave clues on the production S-Class without giving away the shape on the production model.
The airdam splitter, (though fused on the concept,) has identical outlines on the production version S-Class sport package.

The Sensual Purity themes are similar, though minimalistic and trendy on the production S, border on the Barque theme of the previous model. The production S-Class is simple, elegant and warm.

The Iconic VisionConcept is a total change up for the next generation S-Class.

This model is inky black and it might be for a good reason, to show its dark side.

AMG might have dropped the bomb on saying, “we are Batman” just days before this model was released.

Mercedes AMG might have been talking about the Vision Iconic Concept.
It has a rather dark, serious personality to it. (A total departure from the warm and frendly Maybach 6 which graced the production W223 S-Class.)
The Iconic Vision is dark and Neo-Gothic, Batman like. If this is going to be translated to the next generation S-Class, it is going to stand out in character.

The body lines lines are more sculpted, the greenhouse, particularly the windsheld is a bit more upright giving it a strong retro vibe to the past.
The rear of the Maybach 6 gave clues to the latest SL with its swepted down boot. The interior with its analogue, digital display gave clues to whats was to come to the current SL. I suspect its the same with the Vision Iconic with its wide fender treatment. The rear ends of these concepts are not meant for the S-Class sedans, but for their sporty coupe counterparts.
