Guyz…how many times?
There will be no new E-Class anymore.
Like the W233 is the last S-Class.
Only EQ models… so EQE
Sad, but true.
It is very unlikely that the W213 is the last e-class. I totally expect a W214 which should be the last ICE model.
My assumption is based on the fact that W213 and W205 were both based on the MRA platform, so W214 and W206 should also share the same platform (MRA2). It wouldn't make any sense from a financial perspective not to use the MRA2 platform for a potential e-class family, since all development costs are already spent. The automotive industry always thinks in platforms not single carlines.
Offtopic:
I am kinda surprised that all traditional carmakers are introducing subbrands for their BEV models. Looking a few years into the future either the traditional carlines like s-class, 7er, etc. will completely die or the subbrands have to go away again and the tradional names will be all electric. Both scenerios don't make any sense to me. Why introducing a new brand when it doesn't have any chance to survive longterm?
