EQE (V295) [Renders] 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQE

The Mercedes-Benz EQE (V295) is a battery electric executive car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group. It is part of the EQ family, and was presented at the Munich Motor Show 2021. Production: 2022- Model years: 2023–
It most certainly was a MB, based on the first A class and built in Berlin. You’re confusing it with the Citan, which was based on a Renault.

Should have said I don't consider it to be a proper Benz. More like a Van from the truck division for disabled people.
Nevertheless, you speak of some fine cars altogether. The best oder niente

Looking at that white EQE I was just wondering if I want to drive any longer a car, that’s made by the same car company that’s responsable for this heinous, disadvantageous EV. Not only that, as an EV, a certain american start-up car company has the better product…for less money.
I tell you, if this didn’t have a star on it, we’d all be laughing and saying “so, that’s it, now carry on”.

Then let them know with your dollars. No better way to give a manufacturer feedback than denying them a sale. I just have a feeling these disco slugs that Mercedes has created are going to sell better than some think.

As for Tesla, nothing makes me more happy than to see an American car company compete on a global stage once again. I might not like their cars but it's exciting nonetheless.

May be, but as a BEV package to me Tesla is much more convincing than any EQ thus far.
Yeah their tech is superior for sure, wouldn’t be enough for me tho to look at a car that looks like it’s been in an accident because the paint doesn’t match from the factory. It’s unacceptable. It’s a very expensive joke.

MB will be happy if they sell well in China. Would I buy one ? I probably can not afford it. A Tesla ? Is also too expensive for me.
I have to wait for the next generation, with cheaper batteries. And hopefully less electronic gadgets. (So probably not a Tesla.) More and more I like simple cars.

That seems pretty low bar, given Mercedes has stated it expects to sell 50k EQS globally in 22. It should surely be able to sell more EQEs that EQSs.

For comparison, Porsche sold 3k+ Taycans in US in just Q2 alone. And in H1, 5k+ Taycans in US and ~20k globally.
First EQE's probably won't be delivered to customers before June/July 2022, so that will probably hurt sales in 2022.

63 k Euro is a shockingly competitive price. The i4 has no chance.
It most certainly is. Even if it means that by the time you have specced AMG line, bigger wheels, metallic paint, 4 wheel steering, etc., the price will be at least 75k EUR, it’s still very competitive. I mean, it’s a class bigger car than the i4 anyway. The i5 would be the right competitor. I wonder if that price can be true given how expensive the EQS is and it’s basically the same car, slightly smaller.

Maybe the currency is wrong? The EQE could be 63 000 GBP?

What’s the source of this? And what country are the prices quoted for? Any idea if they are net or gross prices (excluding or including local taxes such as VAT)?

yes, if we are talking shooting brake or kombi, definitely. A true timeless beauty.

but if we are talking 4-door coupe or in general Mercedes, the C219 is the pure perfection for me

This angle yes; but those wierd fried egg head lights like the 996 that everyone picked on are a major eye sore

Although the EQE is not the best looking Benz in comparison to the I4 it is a beauty queen, The grill and blue accents and high ground clearance as well as rear lights spoil the BMW looks

I might be in the minority here but I prefer the older BMW I-drive center screen and seperate instrument binacle compared to this new twin screen. It has a horrible plastic joint to the dashboard that makes it look like its tacked on.

I think the i4 will have its fans, but I too prefer the older iDrive. Oh well. Will be interesting to see how these two fare on the market for sure.

BMW and Mercedes are lost with EV design.

M
I’m confused why that is. Audi and Porsche have shown how it’s done. Just copy them if you can’t think of anything else, Mercedes and BMW!

Perhaps the fact that Porsche has had decades of experience designing cars with no engine in the front, is why designing the Taycan seems to have come naturally. Then Audi just used that as a template for the eTron GT.
