I can't still get over how horribly put together this part looks -

To make it so notorious, and look so bad, they'd better have done something like this more aesthetic and really noticeable, for good reason.

Looking at that white EQE I was just wondering if I want to drive any longer a car, that’s made by the same car company that’s responsable for this heinous, disadvantageous EV. Not only that, as an EV, a certain american start-up car company has the better product…for less money.
I tell you, if this didn’t have a star on it, we’d all be laughing and saying “so, that’s it, now carry on”.

There is no contest between build quality and materials between MB and a Tesla. Go sit in a the new Tesla S, even those coming from Berlin will not be of the same build quality. And I would not be surprised Elon gets ahead of himself and slaps yoke steering wheels on the Ys coming out of Berlin. But I digress, this is about the MB EQE.

I wrote as an EV, Tesla is the superior product. Regarding build quality, it remains to be seen if MB still has the edge over other car manufacturers: cost cutting is spreading all over…

I dunno about an advantage over Audi and BMW anymore, but a cost cut Mercedes still has a CLEAR advantage in build quality of a junk Tesla. That isn't even a question. Tesla is not among "other manufacturers" when it comes to build quality, they're the lowest of the low.

I'm inclined to interpret Teslas' redeeming attributes as being those that lie underneath their cars' bodies and interiors.

For my opinion the “normal” screen makes the cockpit looking more majestic.
As i said it once, it also kind reminds me of the C219 (which for my opinion was the most perfect designed Mercedes).

Good comparison. Instantly shows why these EQS/E interiors look ancient with just updated screens.. Old and heavy looking. Gigantic masses of dashboard.

No BEV design. Just a little hole where the driveline tunnel used to be. LOL. Old.

Imagine if this was Tesla or a Lucid or some Chinese company that made something so badly put together - everyone here will be ridiculing it no end.

Everybody does except some obvious brand loyals.

Cause it is Mercedes, we come up with arguments like "if we paint it all black and squint at 19 degrees in a dark room, it will look passable on the 3rd night after 4 shots". :hilarious:

That would be @Sonder, and there is no 'we'. I feel offended.

These EQ cars truly are epicly horrible.

EQE is the worst looking Benz I have ever seen in my life. Truly a Dacia looks better.

I really wanna see one in yellow. It'll be the first banana with ill-resolved A-pillar intersection ever!

"EL-EC-TRICAL BA-NANA, IS GONNA BE THE NEWEST CRAZE-EL-EC-TRICAL BA-NANA, IS GONNA BE THE VERY NEXT PHASE-THEY CALL IT MELLOW YELLOW-THAT´S RIGHT, SLICK-THEY CALL IT MELLOW YELLOW..."

man your forgetting some shit like the first A class lol

Polarizing exterior design is somehow "more forgivable" in the lower market segments. FIAT even managed to move a good number of those absolutely hideous Nuova Multiplas.

agree personelly I don’t think the EQS or E are ugly I find them so far on pus just bit bland boring ..I will say in my view Mercedes have made some way worse and definitely ugly cars …

May be, but as a BEV package to me Tesla is much more convincing than any EQ thus far.

That's not a Mercedes lol

Nah, that was cute compared to this. And the R class outright sexy.
It most certainly was a MB, based on the first A class and built in Berlin. You’re confusing it with the Citan, which was based on a Renault.
