OICA lists the SL for Munich. Although I must point out that they also identified the 8 at Geneva 2018 and M8 Convertible in 2019 both of which were previews to VIPs only. If they won’t show it officially then they will probably show it unofficially. Personally I don’t see why they won’t release it in Munich. If the spy photographs of the media shoot are any indication? They would be on schedule for the IAA.

It is, November 19-28th. That gets MB closer to when they expect the delays with the AMG powertrains to ease up.

As I said before it will be one of the most beautiful profiles around
I am sure that the front will look much better with the mesh grill or any other than the Panamericana, the SL (in its design) is in my opinion more on the sophisticated side than on the sports side, without detriment to its chassis and handling.

I don't like the Panamericana in 1952 and I don't like it now, the only one that fits that grill of the entire Mercedes line is the AMG GT in the photo, but the SL is something else, hopefully it comes with another option

Could it be that M-Bs'/AMGs' prioritization of this car is rapidly evaporating, leaving them aloof regarding the timeliness of its' presentation ? After all, the future is focused on the upcoming AMG.EA BEV platform.

But if the car is ready, then surely it would be best to start selling it even if other models are a higher priority? My money is on the semiconductor shortage. They might lose customers if delivery times stretch out to, say, 12 months from placing the order. Been hearing bad things that you have to wait around 8-9 months for a new A Class at the moment if you order one.

First time I think it happens: EQE, EQS AMG, EQB, EQG, EQS SUV Maybach, that day has arrived and years earlier than I expected.
