...but "sound creators" can work their magic on BEV powertrains. I know, purists will pelt me with raw potatoes. But hey, that RS eTron GT in "growl mode" sounds pretty cool. And it goes like absolute stink. This sort of thing could work for the new SL as well methinks. And one could leisurely cruise through the Camargue on the way to the Cote d´Azur in refinement with that cuddly feeling of being "hip" and "politically correct" while saving the world. I'll bet that Gretas' solvent handlers would flock to M-B showrooms, eager to procure that new electric SL. How DARE they don't ?!?

I enjoy the sound, I used to associate it with speed. These perceptions are changing. I wouldn’t mind an all electric SL.

As much as I totally love the 911 I don't think it's a stunning looking car at all. It looks good but in a predictable and boring 911 evolutionary way. Nothing exciting or breathtaking except perhaps the GT3 and Turbo models. This SL on the other hand could be the finest looking SL in a while and will probably give the 911 food for thought in the looks department.

Man, honestly, the SL giving a anything to the 911 in terms of looks?. I get you might be an MB fan. But the 911 is as good as it gets in terms of design. This SL for starters recycles several parts of other MBs.
