The GLB has the potential to be as popular as the GLC. It is the right size and will have a really nice interior in an relatively affordable package. Much more useful vehicle than the GLA.

My dad is seriously interested in trading in the 2010 E350 CGI W212 for the new B-Class. I can understand him because the E-Class is pretty huge, and sometimes in certain situations it’s a pain to drive through the narrow roads of the city (made even worse by the fat and wide newer cars which protrude from their road parking spaces). Parking is also an issue.

A B-Class provides more or less the same comfort and similar usable interior space. But the compact dimensions make living with it in a city environment so much easier. Plus, my dad is getting older and claims he’s having a harder time park the E350 CGI.

I’ve tried steering him towards the new A-Class, but he thinks it’s for younger buyers and it’s too sporty and hard for him.

That side-rear view just looks exactly like the 2 series active tourer!

I see some 2er Active Tourer vibes and influences in the exterior design, which is not a bad thing (benchmarking). All in all, it looks more dynamical than the W 246 generation. At least, it will be more digestible than the preceding model.

I can see some differentiating interior touches from the A-Class.

Paris autoshow will be exceptional this year. I don't remember last time there were this many debuts at a major autoshow.
