Range Rover Range Rover (L405)

The Land Rover Range Rover, generally shortened to Range Rover, is a 4x4 luxury SUV produced by Land Rover. The Range Rover line has been in production since it was launched in 1970 by British Leyland.
Firstly, please cut the personal insults

I really do take exception to this. Where did I PERSONALLY insult anybody? Mr Mercedes stated his opinion, in a rather atagonistic way, and I said that that OPINION is "pathetic". I did not say anything about Mr Mercedes as a person, so I fail to see where I have PERSONALLY insulted anybody. I was quite careful about doing that. The thing about a "personal"insult is that for it to be personal, it has to be about them as a person. Are we now not allowed to say anything about somebody's opinion? Good grief.

You're a moderator and therefore other people follow your lead so I would appreciate it if you didn't claim I did something when in fact I didn't.

secondly Mr.Mercedes is saying that some car journalists do tend to give a more positive review of cars from their own country.

Sure, but he didn't say that in the first post. He just made a comment about the British and implying they're biased, which I still think is a prejudiced mentality. If that was the case then every British car would win the group tests, and that is far from the truth. In these last few weeks there have been several examples where that wasn't the case. So it just SEEMS that way.

Put Betty in the ignore list, forum is so less stressing after ignoring his posts (y)

What exactly are you adding to this thread? You just posted completely off-topic. Besides which, you don't even follow your own advice as you quoted me in another thread in the last 24 hours!

I'd think saying someone has a pathetic attitude is a personal attack.

OT: I know I said it looked like a Ford when it first came out...but man is it ever growing on me. Especially the interior of this thing. Between this and the GL, the market is very lucky.

That's exactly in what company the RR belongs, it's basically all those cars in one...as I've always viewed the big Body;)

lol can't blame you Nas. Money with bad taste is quite common here.

On the contrary my friend. Money, especially in the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi creates unique tastes that translates into IMO those 'dreams' in merchandise that we would not have been able to see and experience otherwise. The U.S. custom build vehicles for example reflects a 'bling' culture of it's own uniqueness. So does the Middle Eastern tastes. Thus in the end whether one likes it or not it's unique and special either way. That is what makes the world special and it takes money to achieve the end result of the extraordinary. I just love taking it all in and enjoy the individual tastes of our unique and extraordinary world in an always positive way. For it's my purpose as I see it to enjoy what others create through not only wealth but opportunity.;):)

Naas

Lol "It's aerodynamic"

Red Cafe is an awesome rapper though. I love his bars.

You have to give it to them, the British love their cars. I may have to go out and buy that issue of CAR. That article should be good reading, love that pic too.

I LOVE how this guy reviews the cars. He has so much class, so much style.

The RR looks like it drives to good, so effortlessly.

Whilst on holiday in Mauritius I left my car with my brother at his house in JHB. Driving from my hometown to JHB left the X6 with insects all over the front end + gathering dust while abroad....Perfect opportunity/excuse on arrival back in SA to have my car pampered @ CAR SPA in Sandhurst JHB:sneaky: 29km's from my brothers place and R450.00 later she shined and even her chassis had a manicure. On collecting my car at the departure bay..OMG! There she was in silver, a brand new - to be delivered to her lucky new owner a Aston Rapide! Never thought I'd had the chance to see one IRL. Jaw dropping I tell you. The car was pampered @ Car spa + had VPS paint protection fitted to the front end and hood.

New Range Rover still the most complete car on the planet, would have the FF now. But damn that Bentley Mulsanne is growing on me...she's sleek, sporty, sexy and oozes style:love:

Saw it up close today at the dealer. NOT IMPRESSED. They have taken a lot of character out of the design, its very plain looking, especially in the beige color they had on hand. Interior is beautiful and minus a lot of buttons. Some of the switches are the Cadillac CUE variety. Don't like that. Smart phone they're required, but I don't want them in my car. My opinion isn't shared though, dealer has sold out his production until AUGUST. Both Dallas area dealers are completely sold out.

It looks like once again the Range Rover Sport is the one to have, IMO. They've made this new RR very demure and kinda characterless IMO.

Also saw one up close in Dubai. Sat in the front and back seat. It's very "nice" but feels a bit bland compared to the RR Sport. Lots of space though. I wasn't bown away but I'm sure I'd love to own and drive one. Waiting to see what the new RR Sport will be like..
