You actually find the rear lights and how they bend inward toward the back (i.e a thinned version of a Ford concept), and those bended "flamed" headlights in an also Ford-esque reminiscing (very toy-ish look IMO) and the front end to actually look attractive, or simply "not ugly"?

I'm nonplussed by them. In my opinion they add a little visual interest to an overall design that is otherwise traditionally quite simple and clean. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that they play their part in a clever visual trick that suggests the squared & laterally-partitioned lines of the traditional Range Rover theme remain intact when, clearly in this aerodynamically governed day and age, this is not the case.

With a stronger and more "authentic" front, I think this would be a perfect Rangie. I just can't get past that meek mug. The rear lights I can live with either way I guess.

I have waited for this car but something doesn't sit right with me.

The tail lights and a bit of the headlights are just wrong for me. The way they stretched them to the sides gets to me. Then there is this silver strip on the side: I am looking at getting the black one and that strip is just bothering me greatly.

Before I saw this I was 100 percent sure I am buying it, of course, I was under the impression that the changes were going to be minimal and not so distracting. Now, I am waiting to see this live to really make up my mind.

They made it too Evogue-ish and that, for me, is cheapening the big daddy Range. The Evogue is, IMO, good for ladies and young guys and this Range is for people like me who love the understated yet utilitarian and classic design of the Range Rover.

By the way the RangeRover is being received I reckon the RR Sport will be incredible. If only I could justify losing £££££ I would really love to own one.

I expect the new RR Sport to be the most compelling design of the 3, a great balance between imposing presence and sportiness. They just need to improve rear legroom and the infotainment system. Plus, they really do need to drop the 4.4l TDV8 into the new RR Sport, else they might lose me as a repeat customer.. The new Cayenne Diesel S and X5 M50d are just too damn good to ignore.

I agree, I think the new RR Sport will be the best compromise of the Land Rover lineup, especially if they duplicate the standard RR's interior.

I can't see too big of a difference between the interior designs of the RR and RRSport because this new RR is following the styling that was first seen in the Evoque.

So you saw it at the OZ Autoshow? That's good to hear. I guess it's a bit like the chrome lip on Audi RS cars. It's not ugly but certainly not 100% necessary.
