Range Rover SVAutobiography

Range Rover has teamed up with Abercrombie & Kent to introduce the "most luxurious road trip on Earth."

Costing a staggering $143,125 (£100,000) per person, the road trip is billed as a once-in-a-lifetime experience that sees participants travel to eight different countries to drive the new Range Rover SVAutobiography. The trip lasts for 21 days and promises "unparalleled luxury combined with the greatest driving routes the world has to offer, both on-road and off-road."

The trip starts off in Europe and the first leg of the adventure has participants traveling throughout Italy. During the seven day leg, drivers will stay in luxury hotels, have a sunset cruise on Lake Como, and take a helicopter trip to have a picnic on a glacier.

The second leg of the journey starts in Marrakech and has drivers testing their skills in the desert around Ouarzazate. This particular leg is relatively short and ends with an overnight stay at the five-star Royal Mansour hotel.

The third leg of the journey takes place in the United States and sees participants visiting Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. During this part of the adventure, drivers will travel to Monument Valley and take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon.

Participants will then be flown to Chile where they will explore the Atacama Desert and stay at the Awasi hotel which is described as "one of the most luxurious and remote lodges in South America."

Finally, drivers will be flown to Sydney where they will be given a behind-the-scenes tour of the city's famous opera house. They will then drive through Tasmania before taking a boat trip to Wineglass Bay.

2017 Range Rover Facelift Spied with Small Changes

Range Rover’s biggest model will get a facelift for the 2017 model year. Our spy photographers have provided us with a fresh set of images of the prototype.

As you can see from the photo gallery of this story, the new Range Rover facelift gets a redesigned front end. It features a honeycomb grille, square air intake vents in the bumper, a restyled front bumper, new headlights, and small changes to the profile of the British SUV.

Unlike other facelifts, the one applied to the Range Rover flagship does not involve any visible changes to the rear end of the car. Most likely, there will be additions in the powertrain department, along with potential changes to the interior of the vehicle.

The new front look of the Range Rover is designed to bring this model an appearance closer to that of its siblings. We expect the new honeycomb grille to look more like the one found on the Discovery Sport instead of the current arrangement. Changes to the front bumper are not extensive, but they bring a fresh look for the biggest model in the Range Rover portfolio.

We must note that an update of the range introduced in late 2014 brought new powertrains, so this facelift might just come with minor improvements in this department. There’s no word on changes to suspension or steering systems, but we cannot notice this from simple images.

We expect Range Rover to bring new technological features to its flagship. Most likely, the British premium brand will introduce new connectivity options for current-generation smartphones, along with possible enhancements to the model’s technological features. Some driving aids could also be brought to this range through a facelift, or, at least, more features for the standard trim.

The 2017 Range Rover facelift might come to market before the end of this year. But even if it does not reach showrooms by New Year’s Eve, the facelifted Range Rover is expected to be shown by then.
