Hot! Porsche: What's Next

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
If this is true them it's Amazing!
Indications I have say it’s true. Which is great cause the GTS right now is a ECU flashed carrera S , it lost its magic.

A NA GTS will be the shit, most ppl don’t require or can live on daily basis with the harshness of a GT3 and the lack of AWD. It will fill a much needed gap, and also will ensure Porsche don’t make a shit load of GT cars like they did in this gen to dilute the GT3 name further.

The sports car manufacturer delivered a total of 320,221 cars over the past 12 months.

The Porsche 911 recorded the largest increase of all model lines in 2023, with an increase of 24 per cent. The 911 was delivered to 50,146 customers worldwide. The Taycan also posted double-digit gains, with 40,629 customers taking delivery of their new car (+17 per cent).

The model with the highest number of deliveries was the Cayenne. Examples of the SUV were delivered to 87,553 customers last year (-8 per cent). The decline compared to 2022 can be explained by the model change – including the staggered launch of the new generation worldwide since the market launch in April, as well as a software update for the hybrid models to ensure the best possible quality. The Porsche Macan was delivered to 87,355 customers and thereby remains at the previous year’s level. In the last year of its life cycle, the outgoing generation of the Panamera posted 34,020 deliveries. The new generation of the luxury sedan, which celebrated its premiere in November, will be available to customers from 2024. The 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman models posted 20,518 deliveries (+13 per cent).

It’s going to suck for prospective Macan E buyers who will be told: Waiting list is 18 months but you can buy this Taycan off the lot.

The latest C&D issue claims to have seen internal documents of the following:
  • T-HEV hybrid to slot between the GTS and Turbo - 395 HP TT 3.0 with a 2.0 kWh battery making 80-90 hp
  • GTS and Turbo models will share a new 3.6 TT unit
  • GT3 models will get the same 3.6 unit minus turbos
  • C2 and C2S will keep the same 3.0 unit from the 992.1 with modest HP bumps

Sounds stupid

Wow, thats crap. I was hoping for a NA GTS . So essentially you need a GT to have manual
Or NA..

You better off buying a Carrera T then and ECU upgrade to get north of 500hp in your vacuum cleaner and call it a day.

Get your NA 4.0 982s and 992s now, while you can. Looks like these are the keepers - never to be repeated.

Yeah, let me just check where I left that 350k Euro.....I can't quite remember what drawer I put it in....

What 992s ? Gt cars you mean?
Yes, GT cars. Depends on the accuracy of these quoted speculations. If the next GT3 is only going to be an NA 3.6 litre then I can’t see how it’s going to make the same numbers as a current 4.0.

Oh they Will find a way be sure . Also gt cars ad around 20 hp at facelift Max .

What's the logic of getting rid of the 4.0 in their GT cars? Emissions? Just doesn't make sense since they draw so much attention and aspiration to the brand.

Displacement tax in China or other nations? Similar to why the 718 Spyder is offered with flat-4 perhaps?
