Yes, unrealistic. But the NA V8 of the 918 less unrealistic as it's pretty much ready to use. A V10 would need pretty much a whole new development.

Hmmm. Porsche Carrera GT came with v10 that has roots in cancelled F1 project ,scraped, revived years later for LMP 2000, which also never raced and later adapted for road (Carrera).
V8 in 918 Spyder had roots in RS Spyder Le Mans Prototype .
Sooo...latest engine for Porsche LMDH (963) is Type 9RD V8, which share big part of its components with engine from Porsche 918 Spyder. So this must be a new engine for Porsche Hypercar. It's only logical answer.
So just keep the turbos and spin it to 10000 rpm...easy
