Oh I thought you came to reply to my FT report. It's just another vidage de lien. Nevermind. Your on zero beers at the minute.
This is old news. We've been talking about Porsche's allocation model, that's geared towards GT and limited edition models, for months now.A video on the 911 thats worth watching from start to finish. Porsche producing a higher and quicker volume of GT models and fewer units of the base cars like the C2S.
I wasn't aware of it. However after watching the video I went on Autotrader UK. I was shocked to see that there are more Dakar for sale than 2023 Carrera S. Despite being "difficult" to get hold of, there is a wealth of Turbo S, GT3, GT3RS listed for sale. This is old news. Well, who it is relevant to is the more regular-joe buyer (as regular as a 911 buyer can be) who places an order for a standard Carrera or Carrera T or Carrera GTS. Because of the limited allocation slots the wait list time is too long! All of this is off course irrelevant to customers who buy their cars to drive and enjoy
Absolutely. The long lead time for base models has had a knock on effect on the price of the used 992. Their prices are unjustifiably high. So high that on finance they are not much cheaper than a GT3.Well, who it is relevant to is the more regular-joe buyer (as regular as a 911 buyer can be) who places an order for a standard Carrera or Carrera T or Carrera GTS. Cant think of anything less adventurous than buying a non GT or Turbo 911.Absolutely. The long lead time for base models has had a knock on effect on the price of the used 992. Their prices are unjustifiably high. So high that on finance they are not much cheaper than a GT3.
As a result if you want a Carrera S, the choices are:
-Wait 1-2 years for one - depending on options.
-Overpay for a used one.
-Buy a GT3 which might be too hardcore for you.
First world problems, I know, but a bit messed up. Dealers profit immensely from GT models because they can buy them back from customers are resell for big profits.
One for old men and women, who have money but no real interest in cars.
I predict much venting.shudder those louvers on the on the front spoiler are awful!
