Panamera Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
A great alternative to an SUV or Cayenne, but otherwise I hate it. Cuts the sexiness out of the Panamera, makes it look more "family".

It now has a Cayenne roofline and greenhouse, or Audi roofline/greenhouse for that matter, it has that homely Wagon-esque greenhouse with the small window in between the C and D Pillars, and of course an SUV's boot. The Panamera right now has a very sexy in some angles Porsche-esque "Coupe like" greenhouse.

Great for what it is, but I don't like this trend of halfassed Wagon/Sedans known as "Shooting Brakes".

Except for the tail lights :(

Taillights are a bit SAABish, sadly. Definitely the worst part indeed. But still good looking though ;)

No opposite. All the ugly parts are transformed into something better. Nearly every line and cutline is infinitely better thought out. It's night and day with a regular Panny.

Simply stunning ! I certainly hope that this concept car is an EXTREMELY accurate indication of what the production Panamera II will look like (inside and out). I enjoy imagining a complete Panamera II line of cars. This Shooting Brake + semi-notchbacked 4 door "coupe" sedan + 2 door coupe (928 successor) + 2 door fabric-topped convertible.

I know... just the idea of a 6GT shooting break would be too close to the 5GT design wise imo. BMW shares too many design themes and are simply not unique enough.

The R-Class is more of a mini-van to the CLSSB. Those two are much more distinctive and don`t share anything.

As if the 5er GT and 6er GC 'Touring' would share anything visually. That's just nonsense of the highest level.
Now lets not get started about a potential 6er Shooting Break, because this is about the Panny!!!

I guess it is already total non-since that the 6GT shares a lot of design Qs with existing models such as the 5-Series and 6er. (This is typcal BMW design direction) naturally, to some degree... thay would follow suit with a shooting break. Nothing in the current BMW line is bi-spoke, nothing. You should know that by now....

Now, back to the Porsche. I`m starting to warm up to the rear... as a package it works quit well.

Your English is 'bi-spoke', and none of what you say makes any sense. Quite sad.

Pure ignorance, you always seem to attack from the wrong angle because you don`t like facing facts.
Lets get back on topic please.

I see some slight resemblance with the 991 4S but the lights could have been a bit thicker. Other than that its a very pretty Ikea hauler.

Guys lets please adore this beauty, never been a shooting break type of guy or station wagon or anything with no visible flat boot shell, but this one is really really attractive.

Did anyone sniff whether this is going to production soon ?

The design is definitely more well resolved than the real one, I'll give it that....

.... but there's no way that Wagon-bubble-butt is nicer than the current ones. It looks like a 90's Minivan in comparison. The taillights are too slim for all that sheetmetal space as well I think.

It also reminds me of the 928's rear....

Perhaps a Panamera II Sport Turismo offering will motivate Porsche designers to correct the current Panamera "coupe-sedans'" hunchbacked appearance on its' series II successor. That would be simply grand ! In any event, I reckon that many industry observers will crown the Panamera Sport Turismo as "The Star" of this years' Paris Auto Salon. I have seldom encountered an automobile with a design as competent, cohesive and enduring as this. VW CEO Dr. Martin Winterkorn is reported to have been one of the more vocal critics of the Panamera I exterior design. I am confident that he is extremely pleased with the Sport Turismo concept. Hopefully-VERY little if ANYTHING will be changed on the production version.

Disagree with the first part and agree with the second. The wagon like rear is much better than the hunchback rear, but the lights are indeed too slim.

I adore the shallow, horizontally stretched taillamps ! Very expressive, modern and accentuate the width of the cars' rear end.

BTW guys what is this suppossed to be? The panny II preview or the panny shooting brake itself?

Actually, the Sport Turismo Concept previews the Panamera II model line in general ( far less bloated architecture, side sculpturing, head-and taillamps, much of the interior) as well as a "shooting brake" addition to the Panamera line-up as of the series II models.
