Panamera Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept

The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.
^ Oh? Where did you found out about that? Because it doesn't make sense, previewing a much prettier next gen Panamera when you haven't even facelifted the current version. I think, if anything, it's a preview of a to be or not to be released 'wagon' version of the regular Panamera. It's just different sheetmetal on the current platform, no way that previews next gen imo...

Since you corrected another members use of english in another thread klier. The correct tense is find out!;)

Actually the slope on the back of this Panamera concept feintly reminds me of the slant on the Macan. Hope its a preview of the Macan rear.

I can confirm that as well. The current generation will only have one bodystyle. The successor will have at least three:saloon, shooting break and two door coupe. Fourth possible variant is a soft top derived from the coupe, but the decision will depend on by then world economy.
Actually, the Sport Turismo Concept previews the Panamera II model line in general ( far less bloated architecture, side sculpturing, head-and taillamps, much of the interior) as well as a "shooting brake" addition to the Panamera line-up as of the series II models.

Some of the Sport Turismos' details will be seen (perhaps somewhat modified) on the facelifted Panamera I. Headlamps, front facia perhaps. But the design of the Sport Turismos' flanks, the height and blistering of its' wheel arches, the form and rake of its' windscreen + greenhouse from a-to-b pillars and its' rear end are highly accurate indications of the Panamera IIs' design language. The VW-Groups' upcoming MSB (development under Porsche supervision) will not necessarily differ greatly from the current Panamera platform in terms of dimensions. The utilization of new materials and flexibility are the factors tantamount to renewal.

...and perhaps a long wheelbase version of the saloon for the Asian market.

Theophiluschin.com made an impression of the production Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo. Doesn't look as stunning as the concept but still better than the current Panamera.

Well, I am no American and English isn't my native language. I don't know what I said wrong, and the member who you are referring to is a tad bit worse, I would say...

I understand that klier and I am very impressed by all who can converse in foreign languages for the record.

By presenting this concept Porsche have somewhat ruined my aesthetic appreciation for the current Panamera. I suspect we will see many ques from the concept on the facelifted Panamera early 2013.

Didn't know you ever had some aesthetic appreciation for the current Panamera. If I remembered correctly, the majority of the members here hated it when we saw the spy pics of the current one, then we hated it even more when we saw the official pics. Porsche has got it absolutely spot on with this concept.

I wouldn't say the Panamera is an object to put in an automotive museum but it looks cool and interesting. But that coolness wouldn't have been there if the car wasn't a superstar performer. If it wasn't then it sold have been the most useless and ugly looking luxury car on the market. The concept is a superb cleanup of the design and I pray the tail lights on the facelift will be a complete redesign.

I really like it, compared to the current Panny. IMO this is how it should have come. I'd say this should just replace the current Panny.

The design is definitely more well resolved than the real one, I'll give it that....

.... but there's no way that Wagon-bubble-butt is nicer than the current ones. It looks like a 90's Minivan in comparison. The taillights are too slim for all that sheetmetal space as well I think.

It also reminds me of the 928's rear....

It does..a bit and back in the day as a boy I just loved the 928's but.

I am a "shooting-brake" kinda guy. IRL Ferrari's FF really bowled me over and I find the car simply epic same for the 5er GT. As soon as I laid eyes upon the first official photo's of the Panny ST Concept - dejavù!

Even reading the posts and criteria - which normally highlights the small things one tends to overlook, I just can't find anything wrong with this Panny....I am in love:love::D

Which is why you were wrong to criticise GTA8.5 and why Rurella is right to highlight your post. So do yourself a favour and reel in your neck.

You don't know what you're talking about. And why you even had to react is a second thing. GTA is from the good ol' US of A.
And do yourself a favor and put me on your ignore list. Better for your nerves.

@rurella: If the car in your avatar picture is your own can you please share some pictures and reviews with us please ?

That is not my car. It is a photo from flckr. My wife owns a standard Boxster I bought her last year for her 40th birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary (she calls it her 40/20). Guards Red, manual tranny and it is a great car. Exceptional balance and the steering feedback is incredible. It actually goes pretty good for the base model. I do not drive the car that often though. I am trying to talk her into trading it for a Cayman when the new one comes out but she digs the vert. I'll upload a photo if you are interested?

Always interested in a Porsche :)

What's your point? I'm saying, until YOU can speak perfect English then don't criticise somebody else. Where they're from is irrelevant.

And I'll react when I bloody well like. If you are upset when someone criticises you then don't post on a public forum. I suggest you hide under your duvet with the lights out, and protect yourself from the big, bad scary world.
