Interesting idea, but as silly as what I am about to say is, I really hope they don't get rid of the fob, because that's one of the nicest key fobs.

Also, thank you Sweden for the hot ladies.

That is all.

Good looking car this S90 is. Need to see it in Black, Blue and Green please.

That's a bloody good idea.

I viscerally love it. Volvo nailed the high end scandinavian design on this (alá Bang & Olufsen, Eva Solo, Lyx, etc) A proper and much more credible alternative to the german establishment than Jaguar and Maserati, let alone the clownish designs from the japanese.

I'll do my best to have this car in 2-3 years. The Volvo safety record and less pretentious brand are huge bonuses for me.

Scratch my last post and change the subject to the V90. I mean, f#ck ME, that wagon is a riot. Volvo has blown my head away.

Just too bad about that shutline. The car looks splendid though, don't get me wrong.

It will do extremely well in Holland.

It is magnificent. Same ambience and finish as the XC90. It will be a winner.

Volvo S90 priced from £32,555 in UK, V90 is £2,000 more

Volvo has disclosed full UK pricing details for the S90 and V90 models now available on order.

The midsize premium sedan carries a starting price of £32,555 and can be had with a choice of two turbodiesel 2.0-liter engines. The D4 has 190 horsepower and 400 Nm and can be had only in front-wheel drive guise with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Go for the beefier D5 Power Pulse (from £39,555) and you get 235 hp, 480 Nm, and standard all-wheel drive receiving power from the same ‘auto box.

It’s the same story with the more practical VolvoV90 wagon which comes with the D4 (from £34,555) and D5 (from £41,555) turbodiesel engines. The D4 is FWD-only while the D5 comes with an AWD layout and both models have that eight-speed automatic transmission.

As standard, the Volvo S90 and V90 in the base Momentum trim come with LED headlights, leather upholstery, and dual zone automatic climate control system with CleanZone air-filtration technology. Buyers are also rewarded with a standard nine-inch Sensus infotainment system with support for sat-nav (with lifetime annual map updates), Apple CarPlay, voice control, Internet access, and cloud-based apps.

Both the S90 and V90 come with electric trunk opening and Volvo’s Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system. When activated, the S90 & V90 will maintain a pre-selected speed or distance from the car in front and will also accelerate or brake depending on traffic. At speeds of up to 80 mph, the system will provide gentle steering inputs to keep the vehicle within lane markings.

Another important standard feature is Volvo’s latest City Safety which encompasses automatic emergency braking (with pedestrian and cyclist detection) and even large-animal detection.

Upgrade to Inscription (from £35,555 S90, £37,555 V90) and you get Nappa soft leather upholstery, 12.3-inch (as opposed to Momentum’s 8-inch) instrument cluster display, powered front seats, 18-inch diamond-cut/silver alloys, and keyless entry. The Inscription models also have handsfree trunk opening, chrome body accents, rear footwell and side step illumination, along with walnut interior inlays.

At an additional cost, the S90 and V90 can be equipped with the Xenium package featuring a powered tilt and side glass sunroof which is panoramic on the wagon. It also brings a 360-degree parking camera system, and Park Assist Pilot. If you want to go all out, Volvo has an optional Bowers and Wilkins premium sound system packing 18 speakers and 1,400-watt output.

Volvo UK is already taking orders for the two and will kick off S90 deliveries in September, followed a month later by the V90.

2017 Volvo S90 priced from $46,950

Volvo Car USA has disclosed pricing details for the brand new 2017 S90 midsize sedan.

The Swedish luxury sedan is now available for order across the United States where it carries a starting price of $46,950. For this money you will be getting the entry-level S90 T5 Momentum which packs a generous amount of standard kit, including a leather interior, those fancy Thor’s Hammer LED headlights, and a nine-inch Sensus infotainment system.

This base model comes with a front-wheel drive layout and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power transfer to the front axle is done through an eight-speed automatic transmission which is standard across the entire S90 range.

If you want something with more punch and all-wheel drive, you will have to upgrade to the S90 T6 AWD Momentum which begins at $52,950. This one has the same turbocharged engine, only this time it also has a supercharger to boost output to 316 hp and 295 lb-ft.

Being a Volvo, it’s no wonder the 2017 S90 is equipped as standard with a lot of safety equipment. It’s actually the first car in United States to come with a semi-autonomous driving system as standard. Moreover, large animal detection is also standard, just like run-off road mitigation which will automatically detect when the car is about to exit the road and will steer it to prevent from going off the road.

If you are not too fond of buying a car the old fashioned way, the Geely-owned marque is inaugurating Volvo Concierge on its official US website. You’ll get in touch with a designated Volvo representative which will help you out customize the S90 exactly the way you want it. Once the car is shipped from Sweden, he will notify you and upon delivery he will also set up the car according to your personal preferences.

The 2017 S90 in T5 and T6 flavors will hit Volvo’s dealers across United States this summer, with the range-topping T8 Twin Engine set to arrive at a later date.

All the brands you mentioned are Danish.

Would it not be useful to move this thread into the S60/S80 subforum or give him its own subforum? :)

One thing that really impresses me is the quality and price. I'm comparing this to get as a company car for my uncle to the new e class 220d and price wise there's no comparison. Quality wise there's little. My uncle is getting a fully loaded T5 in the next month. Volvo really has a winner here. Only negative is the terrible sound of the diesel.
