M8 [Official] The New BMW M8 Coupé & Convertible (F91 & F92)

The BMW M8 is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series (G15) marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles. A 4-door sedan (F93 model code, marketed as 'Gran Coupe') body style was added to the lineup in October 2019. The M8 is powered by the BMW S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with the BMW M5 (F90). Official website: BMW M

Of the three automobiles involved:

Exterior: The X290 M-B AMG GT 4 door (provided it wears glossy paints, the 21" satin-silver AMG Y-spokes and is not equipped with that fixed rear-wing. Runner-up: Porsche Panamera.

Interior: Porsche Panamera. By quite a large margin. Runner-up: BMW M8 GC.

Those 285 mm rear tires look almost "thin" on this beast ... 911 like 305 or even more would give it an even better stance ... 285er rears look ok on a M4 competition ... a M8 needs more

I have now resigned to the notion that I will never really care for the BMW 8ers. The car simply doesn't work for me, I suppose.

I don't personally feel it's a true 8 Series design. Gran Lusso front end with the horizontal head lights is more 8 Series to me. I still don't understand why BMW won't give their high end models thin chrome rings around the Kindney grill?

BMW is in a weird design imo. The cars are still good looking, but the design language is diluted and kinda stale to be honest. Whatever happened to the OLED tail lights, VFL surfacing, Triangular interior design.

Its strange the M8 has narrower 285 tyres than the previous M6, which had 295 rears on 20inch rims and looked utterly gorgeous. This 6 GC is too my eyes one of the finest looking BMWs in the current era.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
