RIP 5-Series as we know it. From here on it's BEV first, ICE second. Plugin's will be delivered 6-8 months later than the BEVs.

Only pure ICE variant in the UK will be the 520i. Expect all incentives and the majority of stock at dealers to favour the EV variants - at least in Europe.

I'm looking at this G60 5-Series and... I feel nothing really. It's not ugly or beautiful, it's just nothing. I can't even find a suitable score out of ten to give to it. And the fact that BMW is putting more effort into electrification, just makes me sad.

The side profile is the worst and remembers to older ford models. Cannot see any nice things here. Even these awful EQs would be my choice.

Honestly, I am underwhelmed by the i5. 81kWh is just not competitive in this segment. I guess this is a tribute to the shared platform with the ICE.

Get it with M Sport but without M Sport Pro Pack. 21” wheels. Looks OK, but not great. Best to go with black to hide the design details.

On one thing you can rely with this glossy black plastic: micro swirls and scratches in no time.

What cost-cutting? If anything the design is deliberately minimalist. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of the i7 to contend with because of its status. It’s a good example of simplicity
out with the more complex i7.
