the best angle. The 7 series also looks good from above because they are too high. disproportions are compensated in this respect.

Clearly, the non-BEV is by far the better looking car. But the 5er as such, in this stage, leaves me rather cold and uninterested. If the interiorshots can be trusted, it's plastic/cost cutting galore. I was wrong as I wrote a few days ago this 5er was going to look fantastic, it's not.
Maybe seen irl my opinion will change, but I already doubt it.

I can see this car cracking this segment! Not a traditional Bmw but it looks epic! Tradition is going to die and now is the time to change! Even that SE picture....IRL this car will be something to look at. A step into the Future!

The E....it will be too bland and usual/ regular parked next to this!

Interior is looking very nice...but i think the screen looks a bit too big? Doesn't in the 3 or 7...need more pics.

Loving the rear lights but a bit Audi-A7 ish but besides that...can't wait to see more of the car.

Let the IRL launch pictures come through!

A well-proportioned car. I like the direction they've taken with using character lines sculpturally to wrap the sheetmetal around BMW's traditional identity markers in a more modern way. I am also seeing a halo of future BMW design language, which in sedan form is more about evolving the 3-box configuration than retaining its familiar signifiers. The interior is best in class. The rest is meh—especially on the non-electric models. But still looking better than the new E design wise, by a fair margin, if one is into the more dynamic design language of BMWs.

It is a good looking car specially from out side and it looks modern but it lacks the elegance which this segment should have and as for the interior I don't like the flow of the "interaction bar" as much as in the new 7.

I think that the m sport package is the one to go with as the non m sport could look plain and dull.

I haven't been this excited about a new 5 since E60 (or really any since the 1 series), which I still believe to be one of the most striking BMWs. You can tell by my (lack of) posting history.

Unless Audi really balls up the transition from A6 Etron showcar to the production version they will be laughing all the way the bank. Mercedes and BMW have gifted them the market.
