I think we are just too shallow to understand such sophisticated design philosophies and executions. I bet it'd take me a few years and then my mind will be blown too. I just don't see it yet but I'm confident this is 911 levels of beauty and will stand the test of time for centuries.

I like it so far. Can’t deny it does resemble the 508 in many ways, don’t know why people get so upset by this kind of thing.

The DRLs on the other hand are just terrible.

I still can't believe this is the new 5 series. It looks like the 5 GT that has been discontinued. The sleek sedan form has disappeared. The idea of electrifying existing models again turned out to be bad. too high body, disproportionate size. the backlight units did not match the BMW identity. The car looks like a new model from asian manufacturers.

The exterior seem to be overdone in Toyota Camry level or even Subaru.
The EQS amount of glossy plastic just hurts.
The interior can be literally anything, KIA, VW whatever.

The i7 is controversial, but clean at least. The i5 is an utter chaos from every angle.

Doesn't matter how long it takes! I have a hunch it will be well worth it!

I will reserve my final judgment until I see it in person. Initially, I didn't favor the i7 when it was introduced online, but upon viewing it in person, my opinion quickly changed. Many details that I initially perceived as being of low quality actually turned out to be quite impressive.

RIP BMW… I was at the local dealership last weekend and showed the wife the new 7s. Her Immediate reaction — it’s ugly. The 3,X3,X5 and maybe the x1 and 8 are the only good looking BMWs on sale right now.
