X1 [Official] The new 2022 BMW X1 and iX1

The BMW X1 is a line of cars produced by BMW since 2009. A subcompact luxury crossover class, the first-generation X1 was based on the E90 3 Series and offered rear-wheel drive layout as standard. The second-generation X1 marked the switch to a front-wheel-drive-based layout using the UKL2 platform shared with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the Mini Countryman.

More BMW hotcake sales coming up.

Damn, it's a beautiful thing, I want to squeeze his cheeks

Just superb.

Hotcakes indeed.

I agree. This is a VERY VERY nice job by BMW and the best looking X1 to date. It really does look nice! It's got enough traditional BMW DNA, yet it looks fresh and far better proportioned than any previous X1.

Nothing about It looks 'dumbed down' just because it's the entry level.

On looks alone, I would likely pick this over the GLA and GLB.

Totally agree. Fantastic job BMW. They do their best work with the SUVs it seems.

Nice German-language review-along with some flattering "eye-candy" footage:

* Very nice interior featuring high material as well as assembly quality.

* Mediocre at best charging times and range.

* Good space efficiency despite not having a frunk. Nicely sized exterior.

* A great vehicle for urbanites/suburbanites who refrain from driving longer distances.

* Pricey with expected base prices at approx. 55K Euro (not including incentives).

It will prove to be stiff competition for the popular Audi Q4 eTrons.

As for this new X1 - homerun. Where it's going to be interesting is to see how closely it's priced to X3.
I've just had a look at the UK configurator and BMW have done something completely new with the X1: There are no optional extras or packages except for tow hook. For a 2L engine there are two choices:

X1 23i xDrive Pro
X1 23i xDrive Premier

This is similar to what Hyundai and other entry level brands do. They package options into different variants with no al carte options. e.g if you want upgraded stereo, you have to chose the top engine and top trim that includes a panoramic roof.

It makes the sales process easier but also reduces flexibility if you want the cheapest engine with a specific extra but don't want to spend 2500-5000 euros for other stuff that you don't need.

I dont think the base price of this will be 55K isnt it a lil bit expensive i expect a 40-45K base price that goes to 65K with trim and specs

Edit: Didnt know you were talking about the iX1,i am talking about the X1 alone
