X1 [Official] The new 2022 BMW X1 and iX1

The BMW X1 is a line of cars produced by BMW since 2009. A subcompact luxury crossover class, the first-generation X1 was based on the E90 3 Series and offered rear-wheel drive layout as standard. The second-generation X1 marked the switch to a front-wheel-drive-based layout using the UKL2 platform shared with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the Mini Countryman.

The rear looks really good. It has something from Volvo in it. Looks less vanish than the previous 1.

Still don’t get who will take that thing over an Evoque.
I see alot of Volvo in the rear too. Well resolved.

Headlights do give me a Peugeot hint.

And the rear lights Volvo.

But I don't even care, it all works together here this time.

Utah Orange I think....

You beat me to it! Old eyes......

Yes. I wish the M4 CSL came in some of those new X1 colors. I believe Cape York is new too, and also very nice.
Cape York Green is also an XM Colour which is being previewed. That airport photo was in that colour.

Maybe he does not want to look inside to see the VAN-like interior of this new X1 :)

Guess they should have debuted the X1 first lol

Seriously, I'd like to call it EV-like, that sounds better.

Smart move IMO. The EQC was rejected for the same line of reasoning. Not competitive enough. The regular X1 will sell well enough anyways.

I really like the rear and side profile. Quite appealing.
The front doesn't belong on this car though. A face that flows better with the rest of the car would've made this thing brilliant.
It's a BMW and I'm happy that it's not what it could've been.

Decent effort, BMW.

Apparently iX1 won't be sold in the US. Guess, like the iX3, the dealers said no again given the limited range.

Like the M3 Touring, the U.S doesn't get the cool cars :D

I suppose the U.S is too big for these cars (or better, these batteries). It will do brilliantly in the EU where distances are overall tiny compared to over there, and the charging is also way ahead.....the EU probably has 10 chargers where the U.S has 1.

I love to cruise from Madrid to Warsaw in just 1 hour having 1000 Superchargers on the way, enjoying the small distancies.

Big cars need big batteries, that’s a cultural and economical ICE heritage in the US from the last century. They don’t like small cars.

Talking about western Europe of course, which is 1/7th of that map overlay if we exclude the f#cking ocean. Western Europe is MAX twice Texas. With 300 million people, all in cities close together.

Where do you live if you give such a moronic reply??
