I believe those fabric/nylon ducts are designed to reduce intake noise?Actually, they don't look solid enough. Just some metal rings wrapped around with some sort of fabric?

You can soundproof the PVC pipes, but the best way to reduce the intake noise is to soundproof the whole engine bay, which is also standard practice.I believe those fabric/nylon ducts are designed to reduce intake noise?
^ I hope the Australian government is doing a lot of good things with that amount of taxes and fees.
Looking at the conditions of our roads, I honestly don't know where our money goes to....the LCT stands for Luxury car tax, which is ridiculous, and the tax rate compounds on top of one and another, just the tax alone on the S 65 can buy a E 43, or C 63.^ I hope the Australian government is doing a lot of good things with that amount of taxes and fees.
Oh yes I can write essays on this.I doubt the Luxury car tax goes back into the roads....
Now it tax on most cars over $67k I think, there used to be exemption for "environmentally friendly cars" eg cars using under 7L/100km or the Tesla range.Isn't that tax on everything over 50,000 AUD ?
Pardon me for my ignorance but can I ask why is the base price of an s65 in australia(364k) so much higher than the msrp in US where it starts at(295k). Is there a tax within the base price or is it purely dealer's margin? To follow on from my previous post, here is the final price, which is more expensive than the S 600 Maybach. Even at the S 65 level, carbon fiber trim is still a $5.5k option.

Purely dealer's margin, or MB Australia's margin. The same situation applies to all other car companies selling cars in Australia as well, due to the lack of any strong consumer protection and competition laws.Pardon me for my ignorance but can I ask why is the base price of an s65 in australia(364k) so much higher than the msrp in US where it starts at(295k).
