X2 [Official] The BMW Concept X2

The BMW X2 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW since 2017. It is marketed as a sports activity coupé (SAC), it is considered a sportier and less practical alternative to the X1, as is the case with other even-numbered X models with its respective counterparts.
^ I like the design of the new x1 very much

Me too. Like I said earlier, favourite SAV from the current lineup.

These pictures confirmed the following to me though. As much as I like the X2, even looking through the obvious concept details, I fear it doesn't differ enough from the X1 to justify its existence. It just chops a little rear passenger headroom and bootspace

The more I look at this, the more I think it'll be a winner in its class. Granted, it's not as exciting as debuting a new 5er, but this is an introduction to an important product with immense potential to sell very well for BMW.

To see what to expect from production version of X2 ... Compare Concepts vs Production versions of (2er) Active Tourer & 1er Sedan & X4.

Google Search will gladly help you with that. ;)

So ... expect the production version of X2 to be a bit "pedestrianized", a bit toned down, compared to the Concept version. It's not a "pre-production version Concept" ala X1 & X6 concepts.

Also: there are quite some X2 spy photos out there already ... so you can compare some styling & design details of the pre-production prototype to the Concept car.

In other words everything stays the same except for the minor concept detailing.

You're utterly deluded. The common trope whenever the concept has become a production model, is that it looks nowhere near as good. You keep trotting out this "everything stays the same" and "minor changes", and it's a complete fallacy.

Exactly minor detailing. But the overall outline, roofline, design, stance and look is the production car.

What do you mean "look"? That doesn't mean anything.

To sum up, the production version will look nowhere near as good as this concept. Just like all the other concepts. Period.

And the meds SHOULD BE taken regularly! Right? Right! So, please. :)

Yes the overall look. This is not the S-Klasse Coupe concept for which the production model had to have a higher roofline.
The shape of the car is reality to the production concept. Take away the decoration and it equals to around 90-95% of the concept.

The Active Tourer Concept and Active Tourer still utilise the same outline and basic form and detail but adapted for production.

Ugh, we're going round in circles. Just because they share the same basic outline, it doesn't mean they're 90-95% "the same"!!
