AWD based on RWD will allways be superior to AWD based on FWD, due to better balance of FR layout.

If xDrive is an adaptation to a RWD layout, quattro is an adaptation to a FWD layout. Don't make things more special than they are, the days of quattro being superior to BMW's AWD system are long past us

I am not a specialist but being an adaptation is not as better as Quattro. I remember seeing martinbo post on AWD comparisions. Of course I mean the Torsen Quattro ones, not the A3, Golf-like Haldex.

Seriously though, someone here made a chop some time ago with exactly the same headlights, but in a different angle on the car. Even such a small change like that changed the front radically (for the better)

The other day I spend about 3 min trying to understand that front end, in a car market, it had no xenon. The headlights could probably fit a 7 series with no problem. Too huge for a compact car and the grille it's not wide enought to make it more coehisive. The rest of the car is impressive, such long hood and pushed back cell, best proportions of the segment, it just looks fast and menacing.
It's no FIAT Multipla but it makes you sad what it could be.

It doesn't count. Buick, Chrysler and Acura's teaser images tell the sorry perfect. In dim lighting and right angles you can make any car look sexy and exciting.

Coincidentally I saw the four door 1er today, it was black and very clean. I am almost embarrassed to say that it sort of looked alright. But I am not yet at peace with it. Let's pray to god that the coupe won't be ruined with those lights.
