"Nov 28, 2022
In this video I share my perspective on my 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid which is my daily driver. The car now has over 20k miles on it."

Seems like a cool guy.

Finally shipping with the regular steering wheel. Now bring back the signal stalk as well

I always pronounce it as "played" but that's not correct right?

"Played" is how I've always said/heard it over here, I'd assumed "plad" was just an Americanism, but it's apparently true to the original Gaelic. "Played" apparently comes from the fact it was at one time spelt with an e on the end (Plaide). Here in the UK we have a Welsh political party called Plaid Cymru... which is pronounced "Plyed Cumry".

Played, Plad, Plyed. Tomarto, Tomayto.

They don't have to stipulate 1-foot roll out anymore for the 1.99 time?

Don't hold me to it, but, I believe someone somewhere hit 1.99 seconds or slightly better on a normal surface without any rollout whatsoever. I'll triple check. If that's the case and it's verified I guess they are good to go.🙂

Jeez , those who bought it at 130k must be really mad.

On the other hand , not so many have been shipped ( comparing to the orders made ) , so those who are getting it in April ( at least for Europe's new estimated delivery date) at the current price will enjoy it for sure.

Kudos for Tesla for keeping (some) of their promises , and lower the prices of cars over time.

On the UK site it doesn't appear to even tell you the price. Just asks for a $100 deposit. I'm guessing RHD examples are still a way away.

First known review of driving the plaid with the factory option ceramic brakes

I had the honor (thanks to Tesla Belgium!!) of trying the absolute first TESLA MODEL S PLAID with the 20K€ factory CARBON CERAMIC BRAKE KIT!!!!

That kit include:
Big front and rear carbon ceramic discs
Set of high temperature brake pads
Braided brake lines High temperature fluid

And let me tell you guy, this is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ANIMAL compare to the stock car!! First the top speed is unrestricted with that kit and i reached couples of time....350KM/H yes 350 (speedo) which is somewhere in between 320/330km/h GPS on autobahn test (video will be shared soon) Second i had the chance to bring the car for one full day on CIRCUIT de BRESSE in France for a real condition test, that is a technical small track which is normally great for small car like caterham, ariel atom or other lotus car and a TRUE NIGHTMARE for heavy cars and the brakes!!! Well after couple of laps i just did the track record for a street legal car on non semi slick tire here :-))) Tire Original Michelin PS4S on original dimension 265/35/21 front 295/30/21 rear and original TESLA WHEELS the laptime (in this video): 1min33.610 is absolutely insane for this kind of big car who is totally not adapted for this track!! For give you an idea, i did here 1min31.70 with the gt2 rs MR on used cup 2 R and more interestingly 1min37.40 with the cayman 718 gts MR with also Michelin PS4S.

This car with proper brakes is an absolute beast, i cannot believe, it has been that fast here, it is unbelievable. Nurburgring test of the car later this year should reserve some surprise....
