Model 3 [Official] Tesla Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 is a battery electric powered mid-size sedan with a fastback body style built by Tesla, Inc., introduced in 2017. The vehicle is marketed as being more affordable to more people than previous models made by Tesla. The Model 3 was the world's top-selling plug-in electric car for three years, from 2018 to 2020, before the Tesla Model Y, a crossover SUV based on the Model 3 chassis, took the top spot. In June 2021, the Model 3 became the first electric car to pass global sales of 1 million.
Tesla will sell gazillions of these.

The exterior refresh, cabin improvements and price drop makes this a near unbeatable car on value. Rivals with a comparable 344 mile range are more expensive.

As far as I know , they are the only one who dropped the price to all it's fleet.

Meanwhile, german manufacturers....

EQE is not a competitor for the rest. Way more expensive , bigger , more luxurious , and way uglier than all 3 combined
It's not a real review anyway. It's mostly comedy and some of his reviews end with "At least this one looks better so go right ahead and buy it". I don't mind his videos and enjoy watching him but don't go into his content for anything other than entertainment.

new Performance variant spotted. Supposedly getting a new performance motor and beefier brakes

The 5N and upcoming 6N seem to be fantastic EV performance cars with their driver centric tech and giga power at reasonable prices. Maybe Tesla could match them on power but I don't think the new 3P will be as engaging to drive or feature a simulated tranny let alone be as well built or reliable. The N division churns out gem after gem. ICE or EV it seems like they just get it right. Even if the new 3P is cheaper I'd be willing to pay the premium and get myself into a Hyundai (a few years ago I'd call myself crazy for saying something like this).

I think fake shifting in an EV is one of the stupidest ideas in the car world.

In my own experience, one of the delights of an EV is the seamless and instantaneous power delivery everywhere, Why the heck would you want to break that up artificially?

If you enjoy shifting, as I do, get a proper manual ICE car that needs shifting to be driven properly.

Just my 2 shifts.

How can you know that it is a resonable price? No N is available yet. And 5N is estimated to be over 70000euros. How is that resonable?

Also that N shift is pretty lame...Do people really enjoy hearing fake ICE sound in their speakers? Even more , fake gear shift...Come on....

But yea , looks kind of fun to drive

What other performance EV that's good to drive and has similar power can be had for similar money?
I'm not saying it will be cheap but even at 70k I don't see that as unreasonable pricing.

The gear shifting modes are not the defacto driving modes. It can be customized to pretty much anyone's taste. It gives you MANY options. I'll certainly use it sometimes while others can keep this function off and still enjoy a fantastic EV.

You just have to love how legacy press major players quote "Youtubers" , just to keep the negative press regarding Tesla. Every-each-and-one of them constantly bash Tesla and Elon.

Even GCF is one constant hate forum, over something that is really good value-for-buck .

Fun fact , it's the only mid to "luxury" car manufacturer that has a positive stock price over the last 6 months. ONLY one.

BMW : -7.8%
Daimler : -12%
VW: -16%
And others like Ford (-5.7%) , Nio (-8.4%) , Lucid (-38%)

Tesla: +30% (100% YTD)

Coincidence that BusinessInsider is owned by a GERMAN company, that also owns AutoBild , that ALWAYS found Tesla flawed , like "why do we need EVs" , but when it's a german EV "it's good"

You can find that bad, but after all the news INDUSTRY sells content to the masses and if plenty people are willing to consume negative news about Tesla and Elon, then yeah they will publish this kind of content.

That being said he is himself responsible for that. He turned from a wannabe Tony Stark into some sort of a wannabe Doctor Doom lol.

It´s a free forum, whether I want to like it or dislike it, is in the end my own decision. If you think it´s a good car and good value, then it is fine, just do not expect everyone else might think the same. A 42000€ EV in Germany being "good" doesn´t mean much, if you lack the funds and the will to purchase one and the charging infrastructure to use and considering the cheapest ICE car starts around 11300€ + the huge used car market with a plethora of great options, where even a German Dorfmechanic can easily work on these vehicles.

Axel Springer SE is very influental, but also heavily disliked in Germany.

Yea , of course Elon is not perfect. Power comes with all negatives also . But he has my respect that after all this years , he kept his "promise" to make electric cars cheaper.

People forget that Tesla is one of the very few that lowered the prices of the cars in the past years , when every other major manufacturer increased them....

And this is not about "the cheapest EV vs "the cheapest ICE" . I never wrote that Tesla is the cheapest EV.

Read again : I said that is a very good value-for-buck .

I asked many times ago to mention one better EV alternative to Tesla , and nobody responded. Because , even if there are cheaper EVs , all the cheaper ones come with drawbacks , like less power , less range , less features.

And that 11300Euros....You get 4 wheels and a roof for that money in today's market....
