Model 3 [Official] Tesla Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 is a battery electric powered mid-size sedan with a fastback body style built by Tesla, Inc., introduced in 2017. The vehicle is marketed as being more affordable to more people than previous models made by Tesla. The Model 3 was the world's top-selling plug-in electric car for three years, from 2018 to 2020, before the Tesla Model Y, a crossover SUV based on the Model 3 chassis, took the top spot. In June 2021, the Model 3 became the first electric car to pass global sales of 1 million.

Only in a Tesla review can you speak positively for 17 minutes, point out a few reasonable drawbacks, conclude you may want to lease one, and have the first 20 commenters tell you how you don’t know shit and have lost all credibility. Totally normal and cool. Not a cult.

Matt is a standup guy and I appreciate his feedback and insight with a lot of things he says.

But saying "All Teslas are dispoable cars. Its got a service life of 3 to 4 years after which it should get crushed and recylced into another one". I dont think he understands how EVs work.

There's a 2012 Model S thats going to hit 1 Million KM this week:

Stellar driving review though. What he said about driving a the Model 3 like a complete hooligan without being a nuisance to others was the exact thing I said when I drove it last year.

Do we know how what distance EVs can run before the motors need replacing or serviced?

To be honest I am not a fan of electric cars but I did enjoy watching the vlog. It is pretty informative, but again at the end of the day, we all have different preferences even on automobiles.

Pre-owned Tesla Model 3s' are commanding exorbitant prices. Like the Tesla S, very impressive residuals apparently. But it's a bummer for me. A pre-owned Model 3 would be on my shortlist of possible replacements for my KIA Sportage.

The price to acceleration ratio is amazing.

I've driven the Mercedes EQC, and I feel like the big German brands are shooting themselves in the foot by not giving their electric cars this sort of acceleration. I can only guess they don't want to cannibalise sales of their normal cars... I think this is a mistake.

They showed what their attitude towards the EVs is with the IONITI charging stations...

Precisely !

The announcement regarding the IONITY price hikes triggered a massive "WTF ?!?!?" moment in me. "Present ones' own foot-propel projectile into said foot" is becoming the standard modus operandi in this here Bundesrepublik.

The Tesla Model Y is much improved over the Model 3. IMHO it is the better choice.[/...

The combination of favorable news (exorbitant market capitalization, enthusiasm regarding Teslas' superchargers + network, steadily increasing sales, new production facility due to open near Berlin) and an increasing number of panic-ridden disheartening doomsday scenarios pertaining to the fates of late-too-the party, catch-up playing European manufacturers as well as recent drastic Ionity charger price hikes will ensure a warm reception for the Model Y. I've been more than skeptical about Teslas' sustainability in the past-but now find myself in the process of reconsideration.
