So i might be the only person on the planet that doesn't like Range Rover's modern styling.

I'm not a huge fan of the Discovery or the family interior design, if that makes you feel better.

While I think the overall shape is very nice and elegant, I dislike the black painted D pillar. Trying to reproduce the all-around window look of other Range Rovers with just partially painted metal is a lazy (and cheap) design IMHO.

Combat this issue by getting the Black roof.

Seems to provide better balance to the car in general.

That explains why the brown and red one looked odd. I couldn't quite place my finger on why but you have pointed it out.

I would definitely tick the box for Black Contrast Panorama roof and large wheels. It just elevates the Velar into another class. The basic wheels and single colour don't seem to do anything for its visual aspects.
Shanghai is not even a month away. It would be interesting to see if anyone has performed work double-time to show a conceptual copy?

It's not just the color. All modern Range rovers look like cheap Chinese vehicles to me.

Most Velars on showrooms will look like that and be well 20% above starting price. The "Between the Evoque and RR Sport"-positioning is a scam. The SVR will be an absolute spaceship.

As I said before the Black Contrast roof removes the issue with the C-Pillar.

Ideally for launch I would have went with an Electric or PHEV drivetrain straight to the market.

Specified properly this is a very beautiful vehicle.

If only you could buy it with the confidence you can the Germans of reasonable mechanical and electrical reliability.
