^well the 4 Ring Gang says so.. dont know where they got the info from:D

I think I really like this car! The details are stunning and they're all over, wherever you look! Audi finally has something BMW and Mercedes can't touch!

I credit Audi for actually producing this thing, although I have to scratch my head when brilliant concepts like the Nuvolari have sat on the shelf. I know, I know, filling segments, recycling assets, halo car.

Although this car looks even better than the concept we saw a while back, I still have the same hang-ups about the design that I had back then. Basically, the partially bezel-less headlights and squat appearance of the mug.

Anyways, shine all that, because it looks like this car will deliver in the bang for buck category. A sub M6 price should be a recipe for success and effictively "set the halo" for the Audi brand.

I definitely have no words to describe my feelings about this car! This is something so amazing, so good that i looked out of my window on my car on the parking lot and i didn't think about it for a second, i'm only thinking about this car. I'm really sorry, BMW and MB, but there's nothing in your range that can match the beauty of this car... This car looks better than any Lambo, Ferrari, SLR, CGT.... There is no car (except Aston Martin of course) that looks better to me in this moment... I'm so happy that they didn't change anything from concept except those headlights that look even better than the concept... Low, wide, sporty, angry looking.... And that engine bay.... OMFG!

 x 100000000000000000000000000000000000000!!!!!!!!!

:t-cheers:

It is a boy-racer dream car ...no doubt about that. But serious Ferrari-fighting sports car? ...I'll have to wait and see before I make a final judgement on that.

The front overhang is out of control .....I would hate to back this thing up a steep driveway :eusa_doh:

BTW Tyc, you are right about the engine bay, it is one the most beautiful engine bays I think I have ever seen ....comparible with the Veyron and RR Phantom.

Does anyone know if this car will get the 6.0L V12 diesel in the near future?

Like i have said before Audi wants to create the first diesel powered supercar so it's almost certain that the V12 TDI will find a place in R8 but that won't happen for the next couple of years.

I havent been following the R8 info.
Someone be kind and tell me offical numbers such as HP, weight, gearbox, 0-100 and 0-200km/h figures?
Is it a 4-seater or 2-seater car?

No idea about the numbers, but i'm thousand percent sure it's a 2 seater...

:t-cheers:

420 hp @ 7800 rpm, V8 FSI engine, 430NM from 4500 to 6000 rpm, 0-100 km/h in 4.4 sec, v max - 301 km/h, weight about 1558 kg...

So this is a 2-seater with low weight, then this is a sportcar and not a GT car. Then the competition is the 911S. It can also compete against Gallardo and F430, similar cars but they cost lot higher.

Neither BMW and MB have a true competitior for R8. I wonder if we will see a similar car from bmw and mb :t-hands:
