Can someone please explain to me why in some pics the roof above greenhouse is lifted - making rear end of a car looking like being glued to the rest of the car????

Does the roof lift and create a spoiler at higher sppeds - for better aerodynamics, or what?

Yeah ...that is intriguing EniLab. I have studied several pictures closely ....I can't work it out.

seriously this car is very hot..
but dont you guys feel like its from a Game like Halo or something..lol
everything is so hyper about it..the interior the design.. the engine bay..
the styliing is trying to say look at me im the fastest thing on the planet..
but it really isnt..
it feels overdone to me..
but still it has 4/5 from me.. but that 4 is pretty damn weak now..

Some weight comparison:

M6: 1710kg
R8: 1558kg
Gallardo: 1430kg
F430: 1450kg
GT3: 1395kg

Why is the R8 more then 100kg heavier then the Gallardo?

As I said I was just putting in some of the hotest sports car in there just for weight comparison. I put the GT3 in there instead of the 911S becasue the GT3 has exactly the same pricetag as the R8.

and the M6 is about the baddest thing BMW has to offer..:D

Mind that BMW weight numbers are NOT curb weight figures, but weight by specific EU standard which also includes a person of 68kg, lagguage of 7kg, 90% full fuel tank, all the car's liquids (oil, windshield washing agent, etc).

Not sure about other manufacturer. Some still use DIN standard (= curb weight of totally empty car). If I'm not mistaken Audi are one of them.

So in this case - by DIN standard - M6 is about 120 - 130 kg lighter: 1580 - 1590kg of curb weight - vs. 1558kg of R8.

Sounds reasonable becasue 1710kg did look a bit too much in my eyes. I got all the figures from www.rsportscars.com/.

That is only an optical illusion cause some pics are resized.

I don't think so ... Look: all the other lines match (the ones on car, and the ones in the background).

But this "effect" is present in official sketch as well:

Awesome, awesome, awesome.

I come here just before my exams and I'm glued to the screen!

The launch of the S63 together with the launch of Audi's Valvelift engines AND the R8 is really making my nuts.

The R8 turned out better than I had expected. :icondrool

Love it..just love it..finally it turnd out to be right..:icondrool
Every time i see a new car from German,to which my love just getting even stronger..
Still, that magnificently long front overhang brothers me a little bit..i guess it would get some trouble
while being driven down along to some underground parking lot..:eusa_doh:

Now after the "chock & excitment" has layed down a bit, from yesterday, I really don't understand why they presented the car with the V8 version, and not a V10 or V12.

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
