This would be a noteworthy observation if the car wasn't BMW's flagship SUV. As it is, you're praising BMW for making an expensive and luxurious SUV not look cheap. Well whoopeee!!!

Yeah, I get a bit annoyed with the love-in in the discussion threads, but I'll allow it in the pic thread because why rain on someone's parade. Also I agree with his sentiments regarding the X7, whether in M-sport or Luxury or Individual guise, it looks very good.

The exact quote was "you would have to work really hard to make this car look standard or cheap". At one of BMW's most expensive cars, it's an asinine comment. If he was referring to the X1, for example, it would not have prompted a response from me.

It's got nothing to do with raining on someone's parade, as the X7 does indeed look great.

Before leaving the house I read the comment and I thought it was time to see for the first time an X7, which today would be the day, I went out to the street and at 10 minutes I saw my first passing, Zen moment, (here they are not in dealers or anything like that, but they are overbooked).

Dark blue color, chrome everywhere, I did not find it as big as for example the Q8 (maybe because the dark colors shrink), the grill is beautiful and it is the reason that defines it, I do not understand so much trouble about it, it looks like must, anything smaller would be out of place, people talk because they have mouths when there is nothing to criticize.

In summary, I see a very thoughtful vehicle, very cerebral, it does not scare its size although it has it, it is not strident but its superiority is perceived in the air, a bit like when they took out the first X3 opening that segment, the X7 is the right car at the right time

Also not crazy about the blue brake calipers....they stick out like sore thumbs on a subdued exterior color.

You can spec chrome instead of black.
