Naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 engine

The uprated, naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 engine delivers 309 kW (420 hp) at 6,500 rpm. Maximum torque of 515 Nm is available at 3,500 rpm. The benchmark sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is completed in just 5.7 seconds. Top speed comes in at 261 km/h (162 mph).

The engine power of the new Cayenne GTS is 15 kW (20 hp) higher and boasts an added 15 Nm of torque compared to the Cayenne S. A shorter drive ratio further enhances the car’s agility.

Eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission
Drive is transmitted to the road with smoothness and precision by the standard eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. Depending on road conditions and driving style, it automatically selects the correct driving mode. You can change gear using two gearshift paddles on the standard SportDesign steering wheel. One pull on the right-hand paddle and Tiptronic S shifts up. One pull on the left hand paddle and Tiptronic S shifts down.

Sport Chrono Package
The optional Sport Chrono Package** includes an analogue and digital timer located at the centre of the dashboard. The performance display in Porsche Communication Management (PCM) informs you about the total driving time, lap distance covered so far, the number of laps completed and individual lap times.

** Only in conjunction with Porsche Communication Management (PCM).

I'm willing to bet the baby SUV with the Audi sourced 3.0TFSI will not only eclipse the Cayenne GTS to drive but be quicker too.

I like the tinted taillights.

Concerning the Porsche's downsizing, they already plan on going 99 % FI just like BMW. For the normal Porsches, the FI V6 and FI V8 will be used, for the sport models FI H4 and FI H6. Only exception will be the 911 GT3. That is why there are some issues with the Turbo badge, when the 911 Carrera will get its FI H4 instead its NA H6, the 911 Turbo will no more be the only turbocharged 911. So the "Turbo" badge may lose exclusivity.

PORSCHE, the only brand that tests my faithfulness to the BMW brand. ;)

And if you're married you will now exactly what I mean about those tests:D:D:D

I like this Cayenne too bits!

I love it. Cayenne and Panamera must be getting facelifts really soon.

And I suspect this is the engine the Panamera S will get up 20hp from the current 400hp powerplant. The Panamera GTS currently at 430hp will likely be promoted to 450hp and inch even closer to the E63 and M5. It's a shame there is no manual option this time around, even though a stick shift would make more sense now when the Cayenne is lighter.

it makes no sense whatsoever, lighter or not. This is not a sports car nor proper off roader. so why bother

No doubt it's not the best looking from outside but on the inside it's a masterpiece and in my opinion it's by far the best to drive, especially quickly where it's Porsche DNA shines through in abundance.

Even I couldn't say it's the best looking SUV and I should be bias. :D

But you taste is very strange. You owned a Cayenne (958), and don't think it is the best looking SUV, you owned an M3 (E92) and don't think it is the best drivers car you have on that list.

I agree with Tumbo, that ATM the Cayenne is the BEST SUV in any way. Just lack full-LED headlights unlike the X6 E71 LCI and the Q7.

I disagree with Tumbo. This is not the best SUV looks wise. I prefer the likes of X6 and Infiniti QX. The Porsche tries too hard to look sporty.

Firstly I believe the Cayenne is the best SUV there is which was why I bought it and I didn't say it was ugly only that it wasn't the best looking. You are buying the Toyato/Subaru coupe not because it's either the best looking or the best drivers car in the world but because it the best in the price bracket to you. You need to accept that there are other reasons for picking a car then either looks or even how it drives.

Oh and where did I write the M3 wasn't the best drivers car on my list, I think I have always said that the S4 has been the best allrounder but at no point did I imply it drove better than the M3.
