911 (997) Official: Porsche 997 MkII (Facelift)

The Porsche 997 is the sixth generation of the Porsche 911 sports car. Predecessor: Porsche 911 (996). Successor: Porsche 911 (991). Production: 2004–2013.
I love the new rear! If I had a pre-FL 997 I would investigate the possibility to change the front and rear of my car.

That was my initial thoughts too murcie ....but I think it is a matter of just becoming more familiar with them. I really like the rear lights now.

Can anyone lend me €92 000??

That applies to me as well. At first I was high underwhelmed by the LP650 and thought it was overstyled but after staring a multiple photographs I warmed up to it, and now I love it.

The car looks a lot better in these photos, but I hate those indicator and LED light arrangement. We have the old fashioned look of the reflector type indicator combined with new tech LED light in one unit, it doesn't look that neat. Why can't they use LED for the indicators as well, it will combine a lot better with the LED daylight running lights.

Damn, that is pretty fast. I know it's a factory time, but that is still impressive. Is that for the base Carrera?.....the C2S, C4, or C4S??

Maybe I just should just trade in the C55 and 135i and get a new 997 facelifted C4S with PDK......:D

Hey guys, I was under the impression that the red strip connecting the rear light was making a comeback on the 4S. Does anyone have any information on that? Because I don't see it so far

Yes yes, it's very very fast for a car with "only" 385hp. It was the C2S. If the car is this fast then the facelifted GT3 shall be a rocket. Most options are pretty expensive so. I got the US order guide yesterday. PDK is 4k, the same applies for the new green and white color which are 3k.

The strip is going to make a comeback the new C4 and C4S will be presented in a few weeks.

How do you know all this Porsche sh!t Luw?

C4 and C4S press embargo ends tomorrow, so expect images to have surfaced before the end of the week.

I'm glad to see the return of the red reflective strip - even if it does have questionable cosmetic merit - it's a distinctive feature that's useful for model differentiation. I loved the old 996 Carrera 4S with its psuedo Turbo bits.

You hit it on the nail Martin, I'm a very big fan os the 996CsS myself. The appearance of the 996 never charmed me but the C4S version is one of my favorite 911s. Like you said, the red stripe coupled with the Turbo front bumper resulted in a well crafted exterior. I wonder if the 997 C4S will get some special treatment beside the stripe?

Cause I'm a fanatic!!:)

Naaah ? Stop it! Are you serious ? No, you must be kidding :D J/K
LIKE THE WHOLE FORUM HASN'T NOTICED

Yeah! the stripe is back.. I think I am the only one I personally know
who does like this "thingy" on the back.. Awsome!
