911 (997) Official: Porsche 997 MkII (Facelift)

The Porsche 997 is the sixth generation of the Porsche 911 sports car manufactured and sold by the German automobile manufacturer Porsche. It was sold between 2004 (for the 2005 model year) and 2013.
I just discovered that the the gearshift buttons aren't actual buttons but more like gearshift levers.

^^
Yeah that blue one looks terrific. I love that Porsche are more imaginative with the PDK gear lever than what BMW were with their new tranmission.

Since the 997 styling is a throwback to the 993 and Porsche heritage styling I think the rear lights are something of a travesty.

EDIT - Wait. I'm used to it already. HA!

when i first saw the pics in the OP I was a bit worried, but after seeing the second batch of pics, I am convinced that this f/l came out awesome! Loving the rear lights and the headlights!

Cant wait for the reviews now! Want to see what the PDK is capable of.

I posted the following document yesterday, with the invitation that if you let me know your key questions, then we will try and answer them when we drive it at Stuttgart next week.

IMO Porsches aren't known for their interiors so a VW nav screen isn't going to hurt. Its in a Bentley (known for unique interiors) where I don't want to see a VW Nav screen.

I think the damage is already done. The Phaeton and Bentley CGT have the exact same interior, the only difference is the materials used.

Unless there is the VW badge on the scree when you turn the system on, I have nothing against the fact that this is a VW navi. The outgoing sat/nav was not exactly a work of art.

Just don't let important parts beeing shared in the future...

I agree.

That would be my opinion too :)

Porsche

Owned by Volkswagen AG, it was founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche. In the late 1940s, Ferdinand's son Ferry Porsche began building his car, which would result in the Porsche 356.
