918 [Official] Porsche 918 Spyder

The Porsche 918 Spyder is a high performance sports car manufactured by Porsche from September 2013 to June 2015.
918 Spyder beats own benchmark values

Shortly before delivery of the first vehicles, the Porsche 918 Spyder is beating its own benchmark values. Marking the success of the final tuning measures, the Porsche super sportscar is now even more capable of putting in a strong sprinting performance. With the weight-optimised Weissach package fitted, the vehicle now accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds (-0.2 seconds), from zero to 200 km/h in 7.2 seconds (-0.5 seconds), and passes the 300 km/h mark after 19.9 seconds (-2.1 seconds). Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Senior Vice President 918 Spyder, highlights the significance of these results: “We have now used all options available to electrify the 918 Spyder, working right up to the last minute to do so.”

The enhancements also bring benefits in terms of the electrical performance delivered by the hybrid super sportscar. The two electric motors on the front and rear axle allow the 918 Spyder to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, without producing any emissions. Such a performance marks a reduction of seven tenths of a second on the previous time. With the Weissach package fitted, this electric sprinting time is reduced to 6.1 seconds.

^lol.. Porsche.. things just get better with time.

Mclaren.. start off boasting..and then leave a pile of sh** on the ground...

Ferrari? Mystery.. as usual for now:D

Haha yea Ferrari is a mystery right now, but what they claim is much more than the 918…. (0-300 at least)

Let's see if they can achieve them now. :p
Though remember how conservative Porsche are with their numbers :)

They had to better the 918 times, since the 911 Turbo S did 2,8 s recently in AutoBild Sportscars... :P

I even saw an ad in the morning paper today advertising the 918 shockingly fast lap time. It's pretty evident that Porsche are trolling Ferrari, Mclaren and Nissan to challenge the lap time.

This hyper car is amazing. For the moment for me it's the fastest one. I look forward to the Ferrari and McLaren move.

Porsche, you are really a dirty player! I LIKE IT!!! This car is truly an amazing piece of engineering.

Ferrari, it's your turn.

God damn did you see that video clip? it changed direction like a fighter jet.. never seen anything change direction like that, and still stay on the road.

Yeah, that turn is pretty unreal. A nice showcase of combination of torque vectoring, rear wheel steering and PSC2 tires. And camera positioning :).

Give this car a turbo, remove the rear electric engine and 80% of the 300 kg plus battery, keep the front electric engine. This would be a perfect sports car.

^read the review they talked about turbocharging or making it a large displacement engine..and what you will loose..

Everything in life is compromise, and i think porsche has done more than well with this one.
As they said in the review the hybrid drive train more than pulls its weight.
