918 [Official] Porsche 918 Spyder

The Porsche 918 Spyder is a high performance sports car manufactured by Porsche from September 2013 to June 2015.
This is the least "flashy" of the 3 hybrid hypercars, but we are slowly getting the sense that it may be one of the more accomplished ones in terms of performance.......that "sub 7 minute lap" claim of the P1 irks me as a potential way to hide the fact the P1 is not that much faster (if at all faster) than the 918.

As history has shown with Porsche's other models (like every GT3 they have made), they always punch "above their weight".......they always seem to be masters in chassis tuning to maximize performance of cars that are relatively under-powered.

Can't wait to see what the LaFerrari can do and where that will stand in relation.

Rumor has it Jerry Seinfeld has specced his 918 Spyder like the one below

Why do those wheels remind me of the underside of a mushroom cap?

^Epic...Absolutely EPIC, especially the powerslide the end..oh,and that sound?just creamed my pants

Can someone enlighten me with regards to the weight? I have now seen several times the weight being listed as 1674 kg (or 1634 kg for the weissach package) DIN. It's quite hard to find out what the exact definition of that standard is at the moment, and it has apparently changed a few times in the past several years. As far as I can figure out, it means a weight with all the operational fluids and 90% of the fuel, but without a driver or any cargo. Does anyone know how close this DIN weight is to the weight measured by the various magazines?

Seeing that the P1 is supposed to weigh in at 1395 kg dry and the bigger cars often gain as much as 150-200kg, it might turn out - if the DIN weight is anywhere close to the magazine measured weight - that the Mclaren is not that much, if at all, lighter than the Porsche, even though it has been assumed by everyone the 918 is quite a lot heavier.

The EU1 weight is always 75kg MORE than the DIN, and it includes an allowance of 68kg for driver, and 7kg for luggage (obviously based on a dwarf going on a short break somewhere), so I believe you're correct.

^expect that to be in all porsches from the next Panamera:D

Ahh that was so good:D.. 918 vs World 10-0

Ive always said..never..ever..and i repeat EVER in your life underestimate Porsche..
