Utopia [Official] Pagani Utopia

The successor to the Huayra, named Utopia, was revealed on 12 September 2022. A total of 99 examples of the closed coupé model are planned, with open and track variants possible in the future. All 99 coupés are already assigned to the customers. The first car was delivered in October 2023. The Utopia uses the same M158 twin-turbocharged V12 engine as the Huayra, designed and built by Mercedes-AMG, but upgraded to produce 864 PS (635 kW; 852 hp) at 6000 rpm and 1,100 N⋅m (811 lb⋅ft) of torque available between 2800 and 5900 rpm. Pagani partnered with Xtrac to develop a 7-speed gearbox that will be mounted transversely, available as a pure manual or an automated manual, and coupled with an electro-mechanical differential by a triple plate clutch.

I will leave these two, just to express how it actually is in terms of front design and color choice for launch car.

The exposed carbon fiber is the one to have, it looks breathtaking, what an awesome car. Out of this world detailing and craftmanship.

Exactly. I shared some videos. But it won't matter. LOL!

You must remember this (sold out) Pagani has to age and to a degree mature over the next decade in spider and track edition formats also. The Pagani Huyara took sometime to grow on me. Roses need time to bloom.

No a multi manufacturer car owning enthusiast and also multimillionaire owning museum gentleman being invited to do an relatively exclusive piece on a new Pagani after being invited to attend to the launch of a ONCE in a decade reveal.

and he started as a car spotter in the early 2010s
can't believe i'm saying that, though i do remember hearing about his dad supposedly being successful in the finance industry (not sure if owner), which would explain why he had so much more success than any other spotter

I loved the Huayra from the first time I saw it, even the gaping whale mouth. The later AC versions are terrible IMO, and now this odd car…, the main problem is the roof section, this looks very strange. And beside odd looks the car is technically the same as the Huayra. No news, beside aut. gear.

Yes you are correct. He used to not only spot them but he was actually a runner too LOL! You see the thing is in the digital age everything has become instant including judgement. I remember the analogue age and can seemingly blend the two! And you and I are both very well aware than brand or manufacturer "preferences" can influence our decisions too. Talking about asethics is a thankless task. But there you are. I prefer this car to a recent Nordic pastiche and people call you "crazy!" LOL!

I understand. That's fine. We all have perspectives. I prefer the Bugatti Chiron to just about everything. Is what it is.

As for sophistication it's not needed in the ultra high end market. Most of these cars drive less than 2000 miles per year anyway. So a trick hybrid system is rendered effectively useless!

I said this in the previous thread: it is no coincidence that people like the car better in the exposed carbon treatment; the carbon mesh distracts the eye from the overstyled lines and elements, and the greyness dims the design's overall bulbousness.

Also, note the few 'official' pictures from the side, which is among the weakest angles of the design due to the incongruous proportions.

For those who are unaware. Exposed carbon fibre is a €400,000-500,000 option on some hyper cars.

It's even more expensive to opt for exposed carbon and then PTS the whole thing because exposed CF is...well.....something a war loving Russian would take.

But seriously, what hypercar these days isn't entirely CFRP??

It was the same with me, the first time I saw pics of the Huyara I didn't like it too much, I thought it was not as sensually pure like the Zonda. As time passed I fell in love with the design and now think it's a beautiful modern classic.
