The Pagani Huayra, named after the Quechua god of wind, Huayra-tata, is the successor to the Pagani Zonda.

Does anyone here know if Mercedes Benz has a stake in Pagani Automobili's shareholding? Beyond the obvious engine synergies, I reckon that Pagani has a mass of IP regarding carbon-fibre production techniques that would be invaluable in future as the auto industry moves toward more mass-market application of the material.

Artist? What do you think?

Well no stake as of now.

All this started with Juan Manuel Fangio, a friend of paganis and a mentor.
The Zonda was made in his spirit, and he was there for the start of the project, he made H.P promise whatever he does he uses a Mercedes Benz engine.
Horacio didn't mind, and JMF had the contacts (obviously) at MB to get the deal done.
The success of the Zonda and the respect it brought AMG and Mercedes has made them help pagani much more this time around, with R&D..Taking the huayra along with other MB´s to various MB test locations around the word, and even sharing the patent of the Gullwing doors.
And of course the bespoke engine.
The question that remains is how long will MB do this for bragging rights before they want something in return other than money ( which in this case is just pocket money for MB)..
I hope what they want in return is expertise for sportscars and carbonfibre.
And not a full buy out.
And that's coming from a MB fan, Pagani should be left alone:usa7uh:

The McLaren F1 had an Xtrac tranny right? If true, then the Huayra is already in good company.

I do not know about the F1
But what i know is that they made the tranny for the Zonda R, and they make most of the F1 transmissions.

And one of the articles said that, pagani claimed he could buy a very good V8 engine for the price of that Gearbox, its bespoke and specially made for the Huayra..

So yes good company to say the least ;)

^Just pull them down, there is a handle on the inside..
No electronics, would weigh to much..

Ive heard that they can be abit hard to reach while seated (SLS) so they offer a hang down strap to make it easier to reach.

The gap on the huayra looks even larger, so im not sure if it will be hard to close.
I shall try and report back once i get home from geneva.. Im 179cm pretty average..

Most epic magazine cover ever..:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
