GT-R [Official] Nissan GT-R NISMO 2014

The Nissan GT-R (Gran Turismo–Racing; model code: R35) is a series of cars built by Nissan from 2007 to 2025. It has a 2+2 seating layout and is considered both a sports car and a grand tourer. The engine is front-mid mounted and drives all four wheels. It succeeds the Nissan Skyline GT-R, a high-performance variant of the Nissan Skyline. The car is built on the PM platform, derived from the FM platform used in the Skyline and Nissan Z models. Production is conducted in a shared production line at Nissan's Tochigi plant in Japan.

Looks Nismo doesn't get as big improvement as expected on drag, still not catch up with 991 TS, this might be due to bigger turbo lag which is brought by bigger Turbo charger or LC system doesn't perfectly handle extra power on Nismo GT-R. This test result might be another proof of what discussed before that 7.08 min lap car is quite different with production car you can get on market from this year.
What I can remember is in the vedio of the Auto Zeitung's ride on Nismo GR-T lapping the Nurburgring last year, the max speed exceeds 300 km_h at the end of long straight, it's absolutely incredible for two persons on board and over 100 kg air down force featured GT-R even consider speedo might have 10 - 20 km/h error-range with GPS measurement.
@DeDe, what do think of C&D's result and is there any other magazine's test result available so far, hope German magazine can get Nismo GT-R tested on track and road comparing with other rivals like 991 TS, 650s and so on.

Really? I only saw one crash during the 9 hours I watched that youtube clip from Goodwood. And it was this GTR.

The driver was eating rice with his left hand while searching his wife's number on the phone with his right and suddenly noticed his mistress in the public which was waving at him. In a respond to this he noticed the turn to late and hit the barrier. The rice was good though :ROFLMAO::D

Hmmm this test puts the Ring Record in a different light, and the other tests werent that good either.

Strange that they test the car till 300 but not mention the time (I calculated 34 seconds on the tacho off course).

From these two tests the car is disappointing. Maybe differente track condition, but in Nurburgring GP Track the standard GTR was faster (2.13.6).

Ridicously slow numbers - and the low-octane fuel is not the answer, Sport Auto tested the car with RON 102 fuel and it was just as "slow" as these american testcars...

Wow expected much more from this 600HP Nismo, it seems to be a BIG BIG disappointment!! Not a 911 Turbo S beater like Nissan had imagined!!!

Back to the drawing board with this overpriced special edition then. Standard GT-R is where the value lies.
I think the GTR is becoming like the Veyron, too many updates and becoming more and more expensive. This one definitely promised so much but turns out to be the biggest disappointment, we will prefer the basic GTR, certainly much better value for money.
