I think this will look better in person, and it goodness in a different color. The interior isn't as mess at all IMO. The exterior does have a lot of curves and humps for a Volvo, but I think it will work in person.

Well, it looks a bit like that! But I hope that it will be like with the new front C30 and C70! Looks not very good in pictures, but in moving videos and in real life the front looks beautiful and powerful…

A friend of mine has a new S60 D5 in the diarrhoeal bronze colour we love to hate so much. He tossed me the keys to let me have a spin in his new sedan. Every Swede loves Volvo but I don't and my friend knows that I'm the biggest Volvo sceptic in Gothenburg city, which for those who don't know, is Volvo's home city.

On the outside the car gives a very positive impression, especially the quad headlight projectile that give the car a sinister appearance. And on the inside it looks familiar but splendid. The drive itself was surprisingly good. It's the first Volvo I've driven that feels like it's meant to be driven as opposed to be cruised in. The pedals on previous Volvo saloons have a sponge like feeling and give no feedback what so ever -- just like their steering feel. Volvo have addressed all these short comings and made a car that's very responsive and dynamic by Volvo standards. A good sports steering wheel is in their too and it does contribute to the sensation of being a pilot.

What stunned me was the interior quality. Unlike in the S80, the knobs on the center console as fixed as bridge pillars. The overall quality of the cabin is amazingly high and I couldn't find anything to complain about. It's on par with Audi's and Mercs.

It's a strong effort by Volvo and their first that excite me. However, the pricing leaves me wanting more. The asking price for some of the models are neck and neck by the coin to a 3-Series.

I recently drove the V60 D3 Summum.
It steers better and is almost as quick as the prev gen V70 D5 that's now on the driveway.

Saw a new S60 for the first this Thursday as I went to collect my car, at first I thought it was a S40 as it's surprisingly small looking (probably an optical trick) but it definitely has a sportier stance than past Volvos. I really liked it.

Hope it still has those incredibly comfy seats and those amazing sounding stereo systems.
