It's also becoming laughable how much Mercedes are falling back on the three-pointed star motif.

I was thinking the same. It started with the grille, now we have it as well on the air intakes and rear lights.

They must be very proud of their logo.

My dream would be: diamond grill; star patterns in the lower air intakes (because there symmetry makes sense);
grill surrounding in matching colour; taillights with stardust without stars.
AND, most important - interior like 213 or 222, not like 223, 206 or 214.
Life COULD be great

I like exterior. I think later this year I will choose between W214 and G60 for a replacement for my current W213.

Overall, a rather attractive 3-box German sedan. However, I'm not entirely convinced by the wavy-line bottom edge of the light lenses (front & rear) nor the blacked-out grill surround which is an odd element.

Can’t stand this industry trend of linking the rear and front lights. It really looks stupid and repetitive.

And it seems it will remain part of MB’s design going forward.

However, I cannot understand these interiors. Huge screens, shiny cheap plastics, no physical buttons. They will age horribly and fast.

they diverted all the interior design resources to the selfie camera and tik tok feature. Guess the design budget was used up on the exterior. The return to physical buttons can't come soon enough..

First I didn't notice but the grill is illuminated. Seems to be a new trend in the industry.

If the classic grill is available in the US, that could be my next car. Though looking at it, it is probably easy to swap in.

The rear taillights are too gimmicky. Don't need the stars everywhere.

Colossal improvement imho, though one can argue the FL w213 was the worst looking E class in comparison …. ever ?
