However.. there's a huge rectangular sensor or something that cuts the kidneys on the M Sport, that's... seemingly not present on the i7 grilles. So I believe it wouldn't be possible to fully divide the kidneys with chrome on the M Sport ICE.

I think the sensor is present no matter which trim or model it's on. On the standard/excellence model, it's decorated with chrome as per the grill around it, so it's not as noticeable. Depending on the spec you can still get the chrome treatments on the M-Sport, but going for M-Sport Pro gives you the black-plastic-expanse on the i7, or, on the ICE models, going for the M7xx models.

edit: UK configurator doesn't seem to allow from Chromeline on the M760e, but the German one does.

Now all we need is side by side pictures. As in, actually next to each other.
Well, your wishes are commanded,
A pity the full black trim of the 7 series, as @Gor134 says it must have the chrome around it at least

That would be my spec of a M760e

If we do a comparison - two short notes:
The BMW had the theatre screen fully extended. I am tall and I was sitting directly in front of it => the eye distance simply did not fit. And headroom is quite small.
For such a huge car interior space was not impressive.

Pop out door handles of my S-class are a mess. For one door they didn´t pop out so I had to use WD40. And my kids sometimes can´t open them. Pulling the door right away is not the way to do it: Touch it - wait a short moment to give the car a chance to unlock - then open..
Digital light: Absolutely georgous. turns night into day - no kidding. By far the best feature of the W223.

I feel like G70 vs W223 is like Richard Mille vs Patek Philippe

Modern vs classy . Nothing wrong with both. Just a matter of taste
Not really, Kiki. In that case the 7er should be completely overpriced in comparison to the S class. Furthermore the 7er lacks the technical prowess of RM. If a watch brand comparison must be made, it’s more Hublot vs Omega.
Names like Patek and RM make me think of far more special cars than these two.

The S Class is definitely the prettier one and the easy choice for most people. It looks so elegant. I can’t stop looking at my neighbors W223 lol.
Definitely gotta see the 7er irl. I’m so curious about it. Sometimes the cars look so good in pics but look like shit in real life, and sometimes it’s totally the other way around. Let’s see which one will be the case for the 7er.

I agree it needs chrome trim to distinguish the kidneys. EDIT: wait a damn minute... I may be an idiot and this is the license plate bracket LOL

Every model has this sensor. Chrome grille hides it very vell but once you get the M Sport Pro pack the blacked out grille makes it look so obvious and ugly. It’s unfortunately the case with the X1 and 2 Series AT as well

I agree about elegance, but it has always been more or less like that, the sportier look falls on the side of the bimmers, for everything else I would wait to see it in person

Ahh gotcha so it is the sensor! Yeah it truly looks awful all blacked out, very cheap and plasticky. The new Audi A8 suffers from a similar issue with black optics package.. entire front end looks like black plastic with the grille and sensors clashing.

LOL
even when new, it doesnt work properly.
I wont even imagine how this car will “work” when it will be a few years old

Know your shit. He stood in front of the door. Only when he stepped aside the door opened.

Secondly, we all had our thoughts about the large kidney grill of the VFL back in 2014.
Look at it now.....

I wonder if all these morons, when they open a car door with a normal handle, they stand in front of the door, obviously they won't be able to open it, the fact that some post this is beyond comprehension

You need to watch.
First he stood in front of the door, the second time he didnt. The doors just poped out and after seconds (although he stands still and 100 % the same) the door opens full.
The car functions shitty even when new.

Those kidney and this concept was beautiful.
The actual G60 front is fat and ugly.

And now stop communicating with me - you will have the opportunity to do it in person, soon.

I still haven't seen one in person. I walked by an all-black W223 today and appreciated the regality of its form and presence once more. The G70's exterior must do at least as well in person. A tall order.

And for the love of God create a picture thread Scott! This is for discussion. Truly we know what the car looks like now. The dust has settled and the camps are filled.
I’ve never seen so many different photos presented of the same car in my entire time here. It’s like brainwashing via mass images - “you will like it, you will like it…” o_O
