Should the sign with the hand mean "7"? They should mirror the image.

How anyone can call this car ugly is beyond me! Just look at those pictures above ^^^^^. Perfection, live and direct from Germany! Never seen a tank-dimensioned lux limo that looks so confident and agressive! This car is testing the limits lol! And the way people are saying it drives is the cherry on the cake.

You are joking right?

Saturday, I had the opportunity to inspect the new 7 Series. My first impression: a big car, but not as big as the real exterior dimensions and also the pictures on the internet suggested. It was completely black outside and inside and equipped with the M package - too black for my taste. A few splashes of color, outside chrome, inside white leather, I would have found nicer. And in real life it is not that ugly as seen on various pictures. At least it demonstrates presence.
Inside, it gave an impression of luxury - or rather upper class. I didn't have that feeling - especially compared to the Mercedes S-class - with the predecessor.
As with the W223, practically everything can only be operated by touch and is hidden in submenus. I don't like that, but at least there is the iDrive, for direct selection of certain functions.
The car was equipped with electric doors, which is a completely useless extra: namely, they didn´t work. Either they didn't fully open or they closed at lightning speed. This was absolutely unnerving.
My conclusion after a first glance: After one year of driving the W223 S 500 4Matic and compared to my current W223 S580 4Matic for me the current 7er series could be an alternative to the S-Class.

Interesting conclusion @sl123 and thanks for the brief write-up. I’ll be checking him out next week and am curious how it will make me feel. Of course it’ll be an i7 but for the first impressions it’ll do. I do hope so, it’s a non-M variant. I’ll keep you posted.

They're filling in! I'm sorry, the M Sport front end is truly ghastly, especially in real life. So much black in the bumper you cannot even properly distinguish the grilles.

My apologies for the pixelation... I guess my mobile browser decided to pixelate all of the photos 🙃

I still think the M-Sport looks better than the standard, but it does need the chrome trim on the kidneys.

I agree it needs chrome trim to distinguish the kidneys. However.. there's a huge rectangular sensor or something that cuts the kidneys on the M Sport, that's... seemingly not present on the i7 grilles. So I believe it wouldn't be possible to fully divide the kidneys with chrome on the M Sport ICE.

EDIT: wait a damn minute... I may be an idiot and this is the license plate bracket LOL
