;)

That Maybach looks really nice.

Multifunction crystal buttons?

Why as well?
In my optinion - many things are degraded by BMW over the past years (therefor as well, since it will be a shame if BMW has degraded the functions on the comfort seats);

- Steering column switch changes - from "touch stalks" that returns to center position and button for rain sensor, to "mechanical stalks" where you cant make an extra swipe with the wipers without turning off auto and manually put it back to auto
- From step less door stops on E65 and F01 to door stops with steps
- Removed the adjustable pillow on the headrest known in E65, F01 and G11
- Lack of physical buttons is not a good idea for the traffic safety - we just need the eight programmable buttons, climate control and iDrive-controller, so you can still have the minimalistic design
- Many known BMW design elements are removed - for example "corona rings", the grill is "melted together", bad looking hoffmeister knick ++
- Cheap looking 2000s foldable screen from the headliner. The other passenger who doesent want to look at TV and need to have their eyes on the road have no options, and the screen blocks for rear view
- Disabled the auto dim mirror for the passenger mirror - the Rolls Royce still have them, so it has nothing to do with the law
- Wheel hub from 72,6mm 5x120 to 66,6mm 5x112 - which results in flat, non concave wheels and boring design - look how fresh the wheels from E- and F-series looks compared to the G-series with 66,6/5x112
- Removed the headlight washer systems
- Replaced the Laser headlights with "matrix LED" - a big downgrade in my opinion
- Messy iDrive-system compared to the NBT/NBT EVO ID4, NBT EVO ID5 and NBT EVO ID6. The iDrive8 is still way better than the iDrive7, but still not as good as they was - you can easily see that the iDrive7 and iDrive8 was designed to be touch with iDrive-controller functionality than iDrive-controller functionality with touch screen options
- This is general BMW-problem, but they offer less leather in the interior than the previous generations. F.ex G30 vs F10 and G05 vs F15 - on the G-series you can get the lower part of the door panels in hard plastic when you have "Full Merino", but you will have the same parts inn full leather on the F-series with "Full Merino". You cant even order it by the Individual program..

You better be preapred for some hostile stuff your way. .

A lot of features are centralised especially in the rear door control screens and indeed in iDrive.

That's a lot of degradation

The laser lights are as usual, and now also available for the USA, complying with the regulations

This spec is definitely a way to go for those who wanted a more sporty look, and those 22 inch wheels fits the car's size much better.

I reckon that this sort of configuration will not succeed in winning many hearts (or wallets), if any at all, here in the EU. It triggers some very questionable "vibes" that will certainly not at all appeal to a more mature, affluent customer base.

Rolls Royce with the black badge is doing very well, I think there is a bit of that here, lowering the entry age

At first glance, these larger 22" rims obviously better fill up the wheel wells visually. However, as already commented on earlier, one peculiar side effect is that the tire sidewalls are becoming so slim here that they look slimmer in fact than those wheelarch brims that are sculpted into the body and circle around the tires, while normally the tires are thicker than the wheelarch surrounds. These flat circular brims already are extremely fat to begin with and the contrast only gets worse with thinner tires, giving off a weird feeling of skinny shod wheels recoiling and recessing inwards into the wheel wells, instead of bulging slightly outwards as ideal design principles would dictate.

I'm aware that EU regulation prevents wheels from actually protruding farther out than the wheelarch plane, but that's beside the point since there are ways to get around that with clever fender and wheelarch sculpting that organically pushes the wheels outwards into a sporty stance -- somehow these big fat wheelarch brims seem to have the opposite effect and these massive 22" wheels almost look puny by comparison.

IRL it looks even better, it slaps you
I would have liked to see the new Jaguar too, which would be ready by now.
