S-Class [Official] Mercedes-Maybach Pullman (VV222)

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, formerly known as Sonderklasse, is a series of full-sized luxury sedans and coupés produced by Mercedes-Benz. The S-Class is the designation for top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz models and was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116, and has remained in use ever since. The S-Class is the flagship vehicle for Mercedes-Benz, being positioned above the other Mercedes-Benz models.
The Federal Government posted some shots from India, showing us an S-Class Pullman (VV220) with flags/pennants on both sides. :)

Haven't seen any sales numbers. Previously MB mentioned only "a handful" may become available, since it's very exclusive. :)

hmmm, you are a very loyal MB fan Wolfgang .......but you and I both know that if the demand was strong for the Pullmann, they would produce them as quickly as they could.

I've always thought the Pullmann was a strange decision .....especially since there are already dozens of companies that will Chop and stretch an S class if you wanted one.

Not really, but you can't compare after-market conversions to original factory-designed and manufactured Pullman. Just look at the roofline. No after-market firm can successfully replicate the roofline.

Oh yes, you are right about the roofline .....and Mercedes was clever to configure their Pullman in such a way that aftermarket converters would not easily be able to replicate. However, I have always been sceptical that there was much demand for a stretched vehicle of this type in today's world.

The standard S Klasse Maybach has been quite successful (which is good).

When I become the dictator of some obscure country, I'll get one, just like my peers.
Ask Mr. Zetsche to sponsor you one cause he earns more than most dictators anyway and you don't have to worry about been assassinated:eek:

Aren't these being made by Brabus, an after market company.

Mercedes-Maybach

In November 2014, Daimler announced the revival of the Maybach name as a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222), positioned as an upscale version akin to the more sporty Mercedes-AMG sub-brand.
