The big Coupes were always more elegant than sporty. This, especially the S63 AMG Coupé is very sporty. If you like it, fine with me. Personally I like the elegant ones. So for me a "down to earth" 550 or even better a 600 (agree with you W201) will do.

I find an S550 with AMG-Kit to be way prettier and tidier. It's without useless details on the bumpers.

I completely agree! I guess the AMG variant does have to stand out and show-off a bit since it also competes with Aston Martins, Jags and what nots, but like Luw' I much prefer the S550 with AMG-kit as it retains a sense of class and sophistication.

I third the statement on the AMG kitted 550 looking prettier and more sophisticated. The S63 is not bad looking by any stretch of the imagination at all, just a lot going on in the details of the styling. But another wonderful Mercedes!!
