I know I should probably temper my enthusiasm for MBC, but I have to admit, this is going to be so cool when it works like its supposed to...:)

Looks pretty slick. It'll be interesting to see the improvements to this tech as the V222 progresses over the years.

BTW, does anyone have an idea of how much space the the new (at least for the US) refrigerator console takes up in the trunk?

The MBC is certainly impressive, although I was hoping it would cancel out more imperfections in the road, and the potholes, highway transitions, etc. It will be great to see MBC2 in a few years time, until then I'll be interested to see when I notice it being on and off other than speed bumps. Just got word my W222 went into production this week.

Looks like the U.S. yet it's right hand drive. Wonder what THAT is all about.

WOW, this tech is going to be a serious selling point for some buyers. Wait until Mercedes perfects it!!

With Speed Bumps it's the rear seat passangers who suffers most with the rebound, once over the 'hump'. As a chauffeur driven S-class buyers will benefit most, really makes a difference in the rebound amplitude. Gets the hop-out-of-the-seat under control. I love ABC dampers and it's not Air Springs but Steel ones inside that just speaks VOLUMES of how much control a Steel spring has and how much a Steel spring can be manipulated by, in this case a Hydraulic Plunger. Sorry I know they have their practical use IRL but I don't like Air Suspensions. Thats why ABC is regarded as the best suspension system ever;)

Great system and true German engineering and thinking this MBC, nice one M-B!(y)

EDIT: Repost, I know. But I so love this Cutaway!

Too much space, I would say...

I'm still not sure how you eagle eyes are seeing this video as a mirror image, but something definitely seemed off for it to be a right-hand drive car... This video was probably taken during the press week in Toronto, like so many other Youtube clips out there, so mirror image makes sense...

Man, it must have been a fun few days in Toronto... I may have to switch careers and become an auto journalist...:-)
