Thanks Mick...
Driving myself, but one feature I really want in my next car is 4 zone climate controls... The only way to get that in the US is to get several packages, it's costing me thousands of dollars and lots of things I don't need... But when rear passengers complain about it being too cold or too hot it gets on my nerves, especially my wife's parents. Plus, I guess it's worth it to keep the in-laws happy...:)

Believe me, having the option to pick and choose things like Europe does would actually cost you a lot more, those option packs mean the car is a lot cheaper for you.

Believe me Luke, I am thankful for our prices here in the States... My 222 will probably be the cost of an E-Klasse in Europe...

Wow the seats are getting dirty fast with that leather pattern they're going to be really hard to clean.

I think that's the perforation pattern making the seats appear dirty. At least I hope......
I think so too BBG, but the beige carpet in the footwells is definitely dirty from foot traffic... That's the reason I refuse to get light colored interiors, they look so classy and beautiful, but impossible to keep looking good in real life...

Guys, I read on the Internet that the new S-Class was supposed to have the leder of a camel, ostrich or kangaroo. It's a pity that it is not:)

It would be too costly for the base models, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it in the designo options list or on the S600. Or maybe it was just a bored chap who had nothing to do that wrote it online. It would be pretty unique though, they need every single upper hand over Rolls and Bentley though, and I can see this appealing to people in that market. I can already imagine a commercial for it..."Have you ever wondered if there would be a day where you could have kangaroo leather in your car?...that day has come...blah blah blah..."

This looks better than my home:

PS
Any more info on that Lamy pen?

yep, thats the only reason I went with black. Im not a dirty person by any means, but I'm not one to sit a scrub my seats weekly. I hate getting in my car and seeing "filth" on the seats from dye in my jeans in the perforated leather

Man, I really want that porcelain/poplar interior, but you guys are making me have second thoughts....

'Porcelain' just sounds like your'e asking for trouble. :p lol.

It really depends on how you use the car. We opted for Sahara Beige in our C-class as it rarely has anyone in the passengers seat let alone the back seat. The leather was protected when new and now all it takes is a simple leather wipe to remove denim stains etc. and it looks as good as the day we bought it. That said I would definitely not get it if the car was subjected to high traffic or children.

I only put about 3000 miles a year on my S classes, and it's mostly just me and my wife in it. So maybe I'll be ok....????

yep, with 3000 miles a year I'd imagine you'll be fine. I put that many miles on my car in a few weeks, so I prefer black so it looks clean, even though it may not be ;)

I know I should probably temper my enthusiasm for MBC, but I have to admit, this is going to be so cool when it works like its supposed to...:-)
